Ella's POV:
We only had 4 days before school started back up. I decided I would go down to the pier and hangout. I walked there and was just walking around when I heard someone say my name.
"Ella? Is that you?" I turn around thinking it's someone who recognized mine from before I moved.
"Oh hey Michael." It was just Michael.
"Hey what are you doing here?" He smiled.
"Just wanted something to do before school started." I shrug.
"Well my friends left me so we can do something."
"Alright." I followed him as he walked in front of me. "By friends do you mean Calum and Luke?" I turned to him.
"Yeah, they thought it would be funny to ditch me while I was in the bathroom." He laughs and fixes his hair.
"Sounds like great friends." I joke.
"Oh I know, they're the best." He plays along. We ended up going on a walk on the beach and we continued the banter.
It was 5 passed 3 and my mom wanted me home at 3:15.
"Well Michael, I'm sorry I have to ditch you too but my mom wants me home soon."
"That's okay, hey can I have your number so we can hangout again." He asks.
"Uh sure." I nod and give it to him and say goodbye.
My phone vibrates not long after I leave.
*Ella*
*Michael* I reply.
*Do you wanna go to dinner with me tonight?*
I stared at the text wide eyed. Was this a date or just a friendly dinner?
*Sure!* I reply thinking that he just wants to be friends and nothing more.
*Great! Meet me at the pier at 7!*
I didn't reply I just smiled. For once in my life I had an actual person that wanted to hangout with me other than Ashton or Townes.
I met Michael at the pier around 7. We had dinner a this pizza place. He kept throwing little bits of his napkin at me. He was really funny actually. I didn't think I would make any new friends when I got back here but I did. I'm glad I met Michael though. I don't think I ever met him before when I used to live here. I don't think he remembered me either. At the time I think that that's a good thing. I just needed to start over completely.

Me and Michael hung out countless amount of times before school started. He was turning into a great friend. Michael was the cutest person I've ever come across. He tried to act really tough all the time but the truth is he was just a little kitten. We would always cuddle when he wanted to. And I could talk about his eyes for as long as I live. They are probably the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. There are so many colors just mixed in them and I love it. They were green but he had blues and greys and a little bit of browns added to them and they were lovely.
There was one day left till school started and I was spending it with Michael and Townes. I was planning on it just being me and Michael but Townes threw a little fit about how I was his only friend and I needed to include him in things. Then my mom got involved and made me bring with me. Of course he wore a smirk the whole time and rolled my eyes probably a million times.
"Ellaaaa." Michael laid his head in my lap.
"Whattt?" I mock him and put my fingers in his hair and play with in.
"I hope we have classes together." He smiled.
"Where is your schedule?" I tilt my head. I know he has one because everyone should have one at this point.
"I lost it, but it's okay because tomorrow they give us another one anyway." He laughs.
"Oh." I nod. Tomorrow was going to an awful day I can already feel it. What if me and Ashton have a class together? Would he act like I exist or just ignore me again. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Michael saying my name.
"Hm?" I look down at him.
"Did you hear what I said?"
"No sorry I kinda dazed off."
"That's okay I said I was gonna show you around." He gives me a smile. I didn't really need him to help me. I've been in the school tons of times before. I knew my way around.
"You don't have to."
"Do you want to get lost." He laughed and I shook my head. I wasn't going to get lost though.
"Then I'm gonna show you around." He smirked and laced my fingers together with his. I wasn't sure how I felt about Michael and I couldn't tell if he was just being friendly or not.
"Can you guys like not be gross right here." Townes asked from the other couch. We weren't even doing anything. We ended up at Michael's house and watched a few movies.
"Shut up you can't complain you begged me to let you come." I smile and michael bursts out laughing.
"Well Townes, we won't be gross any longer." Michael gets over off me and adjusts himself on his couch and then stood up. "Come on," He held his hand out for me. "I'm gonna show you my room." I was hesitant at first because I didn't know if he actually wanted me to see his room or if we would end up making out, but if I said no that would be weird so I took his hand and he lead the way to his room. Townes just sighed and stayed on his phone. When we get in Michael's room he closes the door.
"It's nice." I nod. He flashes me a smile then jumps on the bed.
"Come cuddle." He pouts and open his arms and I climb into them. I don't know how long we stayed there but I ended up falling asleep. Until Townes woke me up.
"EK." Townes knocked on the door.
"What." Michael mumbled and buried his head further into my neck.
"Mom wants us home." He sighed.
"Hmm okay I'll be down soon." I stretch and sit up.
"I'll walk you down." Michael got up too and walked downstairs and I followed him. Townes was already in the car. I was standing in the doorway while Michael said goodbye to me.
"Bye Ella Kate." He kissed my cheek and when he pulled back my eyes went wide. I tried to hide them and turned around and waved goodbye before I jumped in the car while Townes glared at me.
"I know what you're gonna stay so don't say it." I huffed and he chuckled. I rolled my eyes and backed out. We drove for a couple minutes before Townes spoke again.
"You just met him." He scolded.
"Oh please we didn't even do anything." I shrug.
"Ella seriously, you guys were up there for a really long time. Mom didn't even want us home I just wanted to leave I was bored."
"I fell asleep." I laugh.
"He kissed your cheek too." He added and I blushed.
"Chill out." I mumbled trying to hide my smile.
"I don't want you to get hurt." He shook his head.
"I'll be fine it's not like we're dating or anything." I don't know why Townes jumped to conclusions right away and assumed the worst.
"You've just been through a lot, I don't know if you can handle a you know relationship right now."
"Who said anything about a relationship!"
"I'm just saying if anything happens." His voice trailed off.
"I get it, drop the subject." I snap. Sure Townes was my brother now but he thinks he can control me. I'm older than him anyways so he has nothing over me.
