Ella's POV:

School started today but I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. Turns out I have English with Townes and Michael. Anatomy with Ashton. Math with Calum and Spanish with Luke. Michael showed me around like he said he would, even though I didn't need him too. I had lunch with Townes and a few people he met too. It was a pretty good day overall. The only thing I didn't like about my schedule was anatomy with Ashton. When I walked in he saw me and rolled his eyes. If he would just hear me out he would understand but I know he won't, I messed up.

After school Michael showed up and we hung out in my backyard and sat on the swings.

"Ella Kate." He turned to me.

"Mmm." I look up.

"I want to take you on a date, like a real date." He smiled.

"When do you plan on taking me on this date." I smirk.

"Now sounds pretty good." He shrugged and grabbed my hand.

We ended up eating at some diner a little ways out of town. We laughed at anything and everything. Michael made a totally fool of himself. He kept throwing food at me. He also would take his straw from his water and spray me with it because he thought it was funny. I don't know if he was nervous or if this was just how he acted on dates. Or if this was his idea of a 'real date' like what he said earlier. After dinner he drove me home and we sat in my driveway in his truck just listening to his favorite music for a while.

"And this one is by All Time Low it's called-" He played the song and I instantly knew what it was.

"Jasey Rae, I know. Its a good tune." I shrug.

"How did you know that?" He tilted his head.

"An old friend was a huge fan." I told him. I wasn't going to tell him that really it was Ashton's favorite band and he made me listen to them nonstop.

"Well your old friend has good taste in music." He smiled and I nodded.

"I had fun today Michael." I run my fingers through my hair.

"Me too." He whispered and leaned closer to me. I knew what was gonna happen next. Townes's words kept replaying in my mind. "You've just been through a lot, I don't know if you can handle a relationship right now."

"Ella? Oh my gosh I'm sorry I don't know what I was thinking I shouldn't have done that I'm sorry." Michael rambled snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Michael it's okay I was kinda out of it." I laugh and put my hand on his shoulder.

"You obviously just want to be friends, you've made that clear I don't know why I thought it was okay to try and kiss you." He starts rambling again and I roll my eyes and press my lips on his to shut him up. He relaxes into the kiss and cups my cheeks with his hands. My hands go into his hair and play with the ends causing him to moan a little. He switched positions to get more comfortable but he ended up laying his hand on the horn and making it go off causing me to jump back.

"Sorry." He giggled.

"It's okay." I smiled.

"You um bit my tongue when I scared you." He laughs.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry." I cover my face so he doesn't see me blushing and shake my head.

"Didn't hurt." He shakes his head and laughs harder which makes me even more embarrassed.

"Shut up." I slap his chest jokingly.

"Aw, Ella don't be embarrassed." He laughed.

"I'll see you tomorrow Michael." I shook my head and got out of his car and waved him goodbye.

I walked back to the house with a huge smile on my face. I couldn't really hide it. Sure I liked Michael, I mean how could you not?

"Why are you smiling?" Townes asked from the kitchen, I didn't even notice him there.

"You're really creepy when you do that you know." I sit down next to him.

"Answer me Elle!" He whined.

"I was just thinking." I shrug.

"Oh."

"Mhm." I lick my lips. "Well I'm going to sleep, night." I mess his hair up and run to the stairs to go to bed. I fell asleep right when I hit the pillow. I couldn't stop smiling about today though it was great. I think I realized my feelings for Michael were real and I wanted to be more than friends definitely.
