Ashton's POV:
I was making my way over to Calum's house for band practice. Ella was gonna show up which made me kind of nervous. I wrote a song about her and I didn't want her to know about that. That would make things like 10 times worse. Plus her and Michael are dating now which is weird.
I mean Ella Kate used to be my best friend and now she's dating one of my other best friends, it just feels wrong. I'm sure if I told Michael about Ella he wouldn't go for her. But I didn't and that's my fault. I never really brought her up to Luke, Michael or Calum. I did one time when I was drunk with Calum but I don't think he would remember anything I said. I said a lot though. I explained everything. From the day we went from how much I loved her from how she broke my heart, how she was all I had left and then she was just gone. I felt like if I didn't talk about her I would forget about her. That eventually worked except for the fact I would get little flashbacks now and then. I did miss her, more than anything actually. She was there for me when no one else was and what sucked about that is she was no longer there for me when she took off. I don't know why she left but I know she wouldn't leave without a goodbye because her mom got a job offering.
When I reached Calum's house I got out of the car and went to the front door. I opened it without knocking because me and Calum were close enough to just walk right into each other's houses. We all do it, it would just feel weird to knock now.
"Guys?" I call out. They weren't in the kitchen when I walked through it. They were either in the living room, Calum's room or the basement. I checked Calum's room first and had no luck. When I walked into the living room I saw two people on the couch that I didn't really get a good look at. I just thought it was two of the boys. I started checking my phone and talking.
"Hey guys we should- holy shit, what the fuck?" I look up to see some girl on top of Michael.
"Ashton hi." He pushes her off and sits up to fix his hair.
"Michael." I roll my eyes.
"This is um, Mia." He smiles.
"Ella is coming over you know that right." I raise an eyebrow. As much as I hated Ella Kate at the moment I didn't want her to get hurt. It was a little too late for that because Michael is cheating on her right now on Calum's couch.
"Oh shit, that's today?" He asks wide eyed and I nod.
"Calum and Luke are downstairs." He shrugs then goes back to making out with Mia.
"Michael, your dating Ella Kate." I scold.
"Ugh Ashton." He pulls away. "You don't even like her why do care?"
"Well because, she's new to the town and she trusted you." I scoff.
"That's her problem then."
"What's gonna happen when she gets here and sees this." I gesture to the two of them on the couch.
"You can think of something." He waves me off and continues kissing the slut that knew he had a girlfriend. I sigh and walk to the kitchen to get some water. I hear the doorbell ring and I groan.
"Ashton!" Michael calls out to me.
"Yeah I know I'm getting it." I mutter and head to the door and swing it open.
"Oh hi ash." She bit her lip.
"Please don't call me that." I run my hand through my hair.
"Sorry." She looked down at her feet. "Can I come in?"
"Ella." I sigh trying to come up with something to tell her on the spot. "You see Calum is really sick."
"Is he okay?" She asks wide eyed.
"He'll be fine he just has a fever and he keeps throwing up. I would let you in but he might get you sick. We canceled the band practice we're just here to help him."
"Oh okay well tell him I said to get better." She nods.
"Will do Ella Kate." I move away to close the door.
"Bye." She mumbles and walks back to her car. I close the door and walk to the basement.
"Thank you Ashton." Michael calls out to me.
"Oh fuck you dude." I yell and walk down the stairs to start band practice.
"Michael seems to be occupied." I laugh when I get to the bottom.
"Yeah he's been like that for like the past 30 minutes."Luke shakes his head as he tunes his guitar.
"Gross."
"I feel bad for Ella Kate though." Calum sighs.
"Yeah she's nice but Michael has to fuck it up." Luke sighs as well.
"Are we going to tell her?" I ask.
"I don't really think it's our problem." Luke shrugged. He was right. Plus Ella was hiding something from me so I can hide something from her as well.
"Sounds good then." I grab my drum sticks twirling them in the air before I start warming up.
"Alright, let's get started." Michael says as he comes down fixing his hair.
So we start practicing.
