Chapter 12

Lexy arrived at the condo, took out the groceries from the car's trunk, and headed towards the front door.

She went into the house, marching her way to the kitchen. The lights were turned off, silence was ruling the house. Lex placed her groceries on the kitchen counter, fingers fidgeting.

"Aiden...?"
"Aiden?"
"AIDEN?"

No answer.

She turned the lights on, but she still couldn't find him. There were boxes scattered everywhere on the ground. She started pacing around the house, searching for any trace of Aiden, but there was nothing, nothing that could help her find her love.

Was he kidnapped? What if something bad happened to him? What am I going to do?! She thought.

She went to the bedroom to search again.

"Aiden?!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. There was clothes all over the bed.

She decided to just wait for some minutes, maybe he's with the neighbors. She started unpacking more and more boxes in the living room.

It was dawn already and Aiden hadn't shown up. I'll wait for a little bit more, and if he doesn't show up, I'll call the police. She said to herself.

She, then, went to the bedroom and arranged her dresses. Lexy noticed the closet's door creaked.  As soon as she opened it, Aiden tumbled down to her legs.

"SERIOUSLY" She yelled "I've been worrying and searching for you for about 4 hours! And you've been sleeping in the closet all the time?!" She yelled.

"Huh?" he said, still half-asleep.

"Oh God, you're worse than a child. I was worried sick!"

He suddenly jumped up. "Sorry" He said, looking down like a grounded puppy.

Then, Lexy started laughing hysterically.

The next day, they woke up to the sound of the alarm.

"Ughhh, school" Lexy groaned.

Last night, Aiden slept on the couch while Lexy slept on the bed. She didn't accept sleeping on the same bed with him because she would kick him unconsciously while sleeping.

"Someone's not a morning person" Aiden said with a chuckle.

Aiden got off the couch and went to the bathroom, he took a shower while Lexy was sleeping.
He finished showering, wore his clothes and Lexy was still sleeping.
He made breakfast, and Lexy was still pinkasleep.

"Oh come on, wake up, we gotta go in fifteen minutes." Aiden said, entering the bedroom.

Then, Lexy, suddenly, jumped out of the bed.

"Oh my god! Fifteen minutes! I need more time!"

"Then, stop wasting it, and start changing your clothes" He said.

She took a towel and ran to the toilet.

After 10 minutes, she had finished taking her bath and had worn appropriate clothes for school.

She ran to the kitchen where she found bacon and eggs on the counter. The delicious smell was invading her nose.

"Mhm, it smells nice! Thank you Aiden." She kissed his cheek.
