"I thought you were healing me but no, you broke me even more"

Chapter 22

RING RING RING 
Lexy groaned as she answered her phone.

"I'm sorry I didn't answer your calls yesterday, I forgot my phone in my brother's car." Selena said as soon as Lexy answered the phone call.

"It's fine, what are you doing?" Lexy said sleepily.

"I'm getting ready to go to your house to decorate with you and Caitlyn."

"Shoot, I forgot about Caitlyn. Don't go to Aiden's, I'm not there, we're not making him a birthday surprise party. I'm coming to yours."

"What?!"

"It's a long story, I'll tell you when I get to yours."

"I'll pick you up, just send me your location."

"Okay bye" 

Lexy sent Selena her location and then she told Caitlyn not to come to Aiden's house and sent her Selena's house location.

She changed her clothes into a shirt and pants that Xander had put on her bed.

Then she went downstairs to talk to Xander.

"Thanks for letting me stay the night" She said, smiling at him. He was sitting with all his glory on one of the couches. His hair was messy and he looked so hot.

"You're welcome here any time you'd like, and don't forget that you promised coming to mine on Friday" He said with a wink.

"Oh, and by the way" Xander said, getting up from his chair. He went to one of the drawers in the living room and took out a box. "Since I broke your phone, and I'm sorry, I got you a new phone" 

Lexy froze, it was an Iphone X. She was using one a very old phone because she didn't have enough money to pay for a good one. But she obviously couldn't take this phone from Xander, it was very expensive. 

"Uhh, I can't accept it. It wasn't your fault that my phone is broken, I forgot it in your car."

"I bought this phone for you and you're gonna take it" He said, getting closer to her. He was talking with authority and dominance, Lexy found it very hot. She always liked men that were sure of themselves.

After a while of Lexy saying that she couldn't accept the phone and Xander telling her that he bought it for her and it would be a waste to just keep it in a drawer, she accepted the gift with a wide smile. 

When Selena arrived, Lexy headed immediately out while thanking Xander.

"What the hell are you doing in a mansion like this?" Selena said, as soon as Lexy got in the car.

"Jeez, good morning to you too. And this is Xander's house."

"What the hell are you doing in Xander's house?" 

"Well, yesterday, I went to the pizzeria to talk to you, so I bumped into him while leaving and he started asking me questions because I was crying"

"Why the hell were you crying?"

"Why the hell are you adding 'the hell' to every question you ask?" Lexy asked annoyed.

"Why the hell are you asking me such a thing?"

"Because it's annoying" Lexy said, rolling her eyes.

"Why the hel- okay I'll shut up."

"I'll tell you everything when we get to your house. I need you to get me my things from the Aiden's house."

"Okay" Selena said sensing Lexy's sadness when she said Aiden's name.

When they got to Selena's house, they found Jay and Caitlyn waiting for them outside, in a car.

After Lexy made the introductions and they all settled down, she took a deep breath and explained everything. 

When she finished telling them how she found Aiden cheating on her and how she ended up in Xander's house, she was full on crying. Selena was really sad for her friend, she knew how much Lexy loved Aiden. Caitlyn  wanted to go and cut his balls off. 

They spent the day in Selena's house. Jay and Caitlyn had went to Aiden house and got Lexy's things.

In the afternoon, Lexy found herself alone in Selena's house. Caytlin and Jay had left and Selena went to work.

She sat there and thought about everything that had happened to her. She still couldn't believe that this happened to her. Infidelity is something you hear about quite often, in books, movies, the media, or to other people -- but not to you. This was somebody she loved, who told her he loved her, who had never shown the slightest inclination of dishonesty or moral transgression or disloyalty, as far as she knew.

Suddenly, the door bell rang. 

When she opened it, she froze in front of the person that was knocking. She couldn't breath anymore because his face reminded her of everything that she saw. Aiden was on the door step with a red rose in hand.

"Hey Lex" he said when he saw her.

"Don't 'Hey Lex' me" She said getting out of her trance.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday, it was a mistake" he said looking at her in the eyes.

"Cheating is a choice not a mistake" She said. She was going to cry at any moment, but she refused to show him that she's weak. 

"I didn't know what I was doing, Lex" 

"you knew damn well what you were doing and you knew damn well who you were breaking"

"I know but I'm sorryy"

"I'm just soo sick of that same old love. Leave me alone. We're over!" She said letting her tears flow down her cheeks freely. "Everything was my fault... I trusted you. I accepted being with you before even getting to know you. Just leave" And with that, she closed the door in front of his face. 

Then everything started dawning at her.
