I've realized that I have some pretty inactive readers out there, so comment and inbox me when you can! I love having a connection with the people that read my work (: Anyways, my writing style has changed drastically from when I first started this story, so I have been thinking about creating a new story. Any suggestions?

Laurie's POV

I teared up while listening to the recording on my phone. I didn't know that was there until a few days after it was recorded; probably because I always keep my phone in my bra.

"Well wasn't that a heart breaker." Roland said with a nasty tone.

Tears fell down my cheeks like raindrops. That's what my life was, a big, never-ending storm.

"You know you're really not even alive. You're just breathing like the inferior human being you are. Your life has no value anymore. And what if you escape here alive? Who would want you? Look at yourself; naked and filthy. You're just asking for it."

He was right, I wasn't even alive.

"Don't worry, I'll be the only one who will ever touch you like you are worth anything."

He unbuckled his belt and slid down his pants and underwear. Grabbing my hair, he forced me upwards and shoved his hard on down my throat.

I choked and I swear I felt my insides dry up and shatter into nothing.

What am I.

Vic's POV

"Are you sure this is it Vic?" Mike asked, doubting my judgment.

"Yeah, I can feel it, do you have a gun?"

"Yeah, I'm not going to use it unless I have to."

"I know."

We walked towards the house and found the window slightly open.

"Just our luck." Mike said, trying to east the tension. We pried open the window and carefully removed the mesh filter. Mike nodded, and we both stepped through the window.

"Did you hear that?" Mike said cautiously.

I listened intently and I heard voices coming from either downstairs or upstairs.

"Yeah, I hear it. You check upstairs and I'll go downstairs. Careful, ok?"

"You be careful." And with that he crawled up the stairs with silence.

I slowly edged my way towards the stairs and as I tip-toed my way down, the voice became clearer. It was a man, and the muffled sound of a woman.

Laurie.

"Haha you fucking bitch, no one will ever look at you like you're a normal human being. You're just filth!" The man said. My ears burned and the side of my face itched because I knew what he was doing to her.

My legs were moving on their own will and I ran down the stairs, startling both Laurie and the strange man. I couldn't believe my eyes. No actually I did believe my eyes, I just didn't want to deem it true.

Laurie was naked, with some kind of cloth shoved in her mouth. She was all tied up and pressed against this son of a bitch. My heart broke into two pieces when I saw her makeup running down her face in blurry lines. He was raping her.

I was lost in something I've never felt before; this uncontrollable anger. I ran towards the man and grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him to the ground.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TREATING A WOMAN LIKE THAT? YOU NEVER TOUCH MY LAURIE."

Laurie's POV

He thrust in and out, all while laughing menacingly. Could I even feel anymore? I didn't know anything but the sadness in my heart. I heard loud footsteps rattle the insides of my brain. Roland suddenly pulled out and I collapsed lifeless on the ground.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TREATING A WOMAN LIKE THAT? YOU NEVER TOUCH MY LAURIE."

Was that Vic? No, just another recording.

"Who the fuck are you?" Roland said panicked.

"DOES IT MATTER IF YOU'RE DEAD?" .. Vic? I shifted my body so that I would be able to see what was going on.

Vic looked as if he were in pain.

Regardless, he grabbed Roland by the collar of his shirt and threw him violently against the wall. I'd never seen this side of him, acting so rash and hostile. Mike was already calming him down after he had enough of throwing many vexed punches. I missed both of them an awful lot.

Vic turned to face me, almost scared to see my reaction. In contrast to what he was expecting, I don't believe I had any expression on my face at all.

He warily sauntered towards me, or what was really left of me- and kneeled beside me. He helped me up into a sitting position, gently took the piece of cloth from my mouth, and removed his shirt to replace my missing one. It smelled of cologne and a few of my scattered memories.

"Laurie?" He was quite afraid to speak.

I couldn't bring myself to say anything back, so I only stared back into his warm brown eyes.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and call the police, you two catch up alright?" Mike said nonchalantly.

"Are you okay?" Vic spoke once again with a voice gentle enough to handle a priceless treasure.

I was indeed not okay, yet he still scooped me up with the greatest amount of generosity and held me close to his saddened heart. He rocked back and forth, occasionally whispering something that I didn't bother to hear.

I savored the feeling of being touched by such a warm innocence; something only Vic would know of and understand.

He stopped moving and I looked up to see countless emotions streaked across his face- pain, relief, regret, infatuation, grief.

His face softened and he brought his hand up to wipe the tears rolling down my dirty cheeks and I swear I saw his eyes water but that became a vague memory after he closed them and gently placed his eager lips onto mine.
