Leah turned her head almost instantly to see a middle- aged man glaring at her. He had mousy hair that was turning grey. His eyes were a gleaming green colour and he wore jeans and a plaid shirt. He stared at Leah and took a look at her money, then allowed a smirk to curl its way onto his lips as he looked back at her .

Leah felt on edge but tried to relax as she responded.

" I think you hit the nail on the head there," Leah laughed nervously and pushed her glasses up her face. The man viewed Leah's body up and down and brought his gaze to her eyes through her lenses.  They were a beautiful sky colour. They looked almost sad. Her hair- It was blonde and freshly washed.

" What's that suppose to mean? Are you in some kind of trouble, dear?" The man questioned, his face filled with.. concern but he remained with a happy tone.

" No, sir. I'm just having relationship troubles," she said." My name's Leah, by the way." she rose her hand to shake his and he greeted her with a larger smile, revealing his yellowish teeth.

" Gabriel." he told her, shaking her hand with a firm grip and Leah almost yelped out a little in pain. He must be very strong and that now made Leah feel worried. Derek had truly made her scared of men. Even this sweet, harmless old man, who was probably just looking for a conversation.

" Now, about your relationship, what happened?" Gabriel shifted closer to her, stroking his fingers against the grey, curly stubble on his jaw line and eyeing her for a quick response but the girl at the desk rudely coughed, interrupting their talk. Leah looked and she jingled the key at her with an irritated face.

" Can you leave it on the desk and I'll pay when I'm finished?" Leah asked. She wanted to get to her room as quickly as she could, but she felt bad leaving this man when he seemed as if he was... caring about what she's going through. It just proved how touchy she really was. In every single situation.

The teenager huffed and slammed the key against the desk before walking away. Leah looked back at Gabriel, noticing his eyebrows raised in amusement at the girls behaviour, and she continued to explain.

" He's just a jerk. I have no idea why I went there in the first place," Leah sighed. " he's slept with everyone I know, and I still go back there." Leah was blurting all this information out to a stranger but she felt she needed to. She was running away. Leah needed to release the past and start a new life.

" Why would you do that?" The talk became almost an interview rather quickly and Leah had said to much to end it now.

" I have nowhere to go," Leah admitted sadly. "I dropped everything for him, and he just leaves me each night, alone and sad." A slight tear dropped from her face. Leah was very sensitive. Even talking about an issue for under thirty seconds caused her to feel upset.

Gabriel brought a tissue from his pocked and handed it to her. She smiled and thanked him before placing it under the frame of her glasses. Gabriel watched her too closely as she did so.

" How about you let me help you out?" Gabe offered, catching Leah's attention.

"How could you do that?"

Gabriel brought his intense gaze down to the crumpled up money that she held tightly in her hand. " Well, I'll tell you, there are cheaper and better Motels to be staying at rather than this expensive dump." Gabriel chuckled, leaning back in his chair.

" Where?"

" Everywhere."

" Any round here?"
