"You look beautiful, sweetheart." Venus complimented as she took pictures of me. You'd think I was headed to prom with the way she was acting. "Turn to the side and look at me."

"Venus, no more pictures. Raine's going to come up here and get on both of our butts for being late." I touched up my hair, which Raine professionally gotten done for me. He'd pampered me from this morning to right now. I had no idea what id done to deserve the treatment, but I didn't turn it down either. My babies are my world and I enjoy spending my time with them, but momma needed a break. We both did, so we were going to dinner. Knowing Raine, he probably had something besides dinner up his sleeves because he's been acting iffy all day.

"Too late." I heard him say. He stood in the doorway, leaning against the wall, looking like a white chocolate bar. Dark skin men definitely looked their best in all white, especially when they're well groomed and have the pearls in their mouths to match.

"It's her fault." I pointed at Venus who tried to hide her phone behind her back.

She looked at Raine, shaking her head. "No it's not."

"Mama, I see the light from your phone." He bust her out.

Snitch." She mumbled, walking out of the room.

Laughing, I reached for my clutch and cellphone. "I've been ready. It was Venus who held me up with the picture taking."

"No rush, baby. We don't have a set time to be there." He reached for my hand, spinning me around slowly. "If I didn't spend all day planning tonight for you, I'd say fuck it and put another set of twins in you."

"Oh, no. Hell no. I'm still sore from the other night. I can't believe you popped my leg out of place." I grimaced at the memory of him bending my leg back so far and the loud cracking noise it made shortly after.

"That's your fault." He shrugged, letting walk ahead.

"How?"

"Your pu-" I stopped walking and side eyed him. "I mean pizza is that damn good. I lose control of myself every time I'm in it."

"Yeah, well say goodbye to my pizza for a while because I shouldn't be breaking or popping bones during sex. That is unacceptable." He laughed, but I was serious. In order for us to be intimate again, he'd have to do something out of this world. "We're leaving guys!"

"Ok. Have fun!"

"Where are you taking me, Raine? We have passed every restaurant in town and been driving a while now." I said, rolling the window down, seeing nothing but water.

"Somewhere secluded. That's all you need to know for now."

"Uh huh, sure."

We sat in silence as the calming melody of Boyz to Men traveled through the speakers into the closed space of the limo. My head rested on his chest while his hand wrapped around my waist, his fingertips massaging the exposed skin on my side. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything. I think we were just soaking in the moment. Rarely do we go out on dates, even before the babies were born. After they were here, we were too afraid to leave them home, but now there aren't any threats against us and this alone time is needed.

The limo came to a stop and I sat up, looking around.

"The beach?" I looked over at Raine.

"Just wait. There's more to it. Stay right there and let me come open your door." I nodded, sitting back in the seat. My door flew opened seconds later and I took hold of Raine's hand. I expected my shoes to be ruined when I stepped in the sand, but instead, I was met with a red carpet. Frowning, I looked at Raine, waiting for an explanation.
