I rubbed my hands up and down my arms causing friction to find some kind of warmth. We landed in San Juan, Puerto Rico about thirty minutes ago and it was really chilly outside. Raine hired a personal chauffeur for our time here and this guy has the windows locked to where he's the only one that can roll them up. I didn't have to look at myself to know chill bumps were plastered over my body. Shifting in the seat, I kicked my feet in the chair, closing the space between me and Raine and rested my head against the door.
"What's wrong?" Raine asked.
"I'm freezing my butt off." I responded, my voice coming off shaky.
"Lee, can you roll the windows up? My lady is cold." He informed the driver. Seconds later, my cold body was replaced with instant heat, as he let the windows up and turned on the heat. "Is that better?"
I nodded. "Yes, thank you."
"You should've told me you were cold. I would've been had that taken care of." I only nodded in response, closing my eyes again. It was two in the morning and I'm still tired and slightly hungover from the champagne I'd drank on the flight here. I slept all of twenty minutes before Raine was tapping me, letting me know we had arrived to our destination.
Sluggishly getting out of the car, I helped with out luggage and followed behind Raine towards a two story house. Looking at my surroundings, I noticed we were the only people out here. There weren't any other houses around.
"Where are the other houses?" I queried. "I thought we were staying in a hotel."
"You'd have to go a mile down to see other places. It gives everyone their own privacy and I bought this beach house for whenever I'm visiting."
"Oh." We reached the front door and Raine used a key from his chain to in and I wasn't that impressed by what I saw. For this place to be an expensive, private suite, the living area and kitchen were plain--extremely beautiful, but plain.
"This is nice, Raine." I said, sitting my bags on the floor.
"Stop lying Mel." I looked at him with a "I'm not lying" face and he chuckled. "I know it's dull as hell in here, but I don't come here often and I haven't made an attempt to decorate to my liking."
"Well, it is plain and bare, but it really is nice." I truthfully admitted.
"Thanks. My favorite parts are the bedroom and bathroom. You'll definitely spend more time in there this whole trip."
"Ha, ha, ha." I fake laughed. "You're not funny. Now show me to the bedroom because I'm still tired."
We walked down a never ending hallway until he stopped at another set of double doors. Peering down at me over his shoulders, he sent a smile. "Prepare to be amazed."
"Open the doors and I'll be the judge of that." Pushing the doors opened, I couldn't see anything due to him blocking my view, but when he finally stepped aside my mouth literally dropped to the floor.
"You have a pool in your bedroom! What am I doing with my life?" I questioned, still in utter shock. Rubbing my eyes, I widened them to make sure they weren't playing tricks on me. "This isn't real."
"I told you to prepare yourself." I heard him say with amusement laced in his voice. "Should've listened."
"This is hands down the best room I'll probably see while I'm here." I mumbled, standing next to the body of water.
"So you're not gonna check out the bathroom?"
"Actually, I'm going to do that right right now. My bladder is about to runneth over." I joked, crossing my legs. Raine stood there laughing while I fought to hold my urine in. "Startup and tell me where it is."
