“Cash Money taking over for the 99 and 2000s.” Blared through the speakers and every estrogen in the building ran to the dance floor like roaches running for crumbs. Even Mammaw took off her shoes, giving them to an astonished Melrose.
“Don’t look at me like that, child. My generation invented backing thy ass up. You better show me some respect and hold my shoes.” She told her granddaughter off, two stepping to the center of the dance floor as well.
Mel shook her head at the out of pocket woman and went back to eating her shrimp Kabob until somebody else interrupted her.
“Sis, watch my phone. I gotta get in on this.” Kelsi slid her iPhone across the table towards Mel. Without so much of a thank you, she ran towards the wild women and bent over, shaking her ass to the beat.
Ahmad sat on the otherside of Raine, watching her every move intensely, his manhood growing by the second. Raine tapped him on the shoulder, getting his attention.
“You need to quit playing with Kels and handle your business man.” He nodded down at the tent in his pants.
Ahmad looked down at his penis standing at attention and cursed underneath his breath. “Shit!” He jumped out of his seat, going to fix his attentive friend.
Laughing to himself, Raine turned around, putting his focus on Mel. She was scoffing down her eighth shrimp kabob while reaching for another one.
“Baby, leave some for everybody else.” He scooted the platter out of her reach, making her pout.
“Hey! I was eating those.” She frowned at him.
“The half empty platter speaks for itself. You need to slow down before you get sick.”
Knowing he’s right, Mel ate the last shrimp on her plate and retired from eating anything else until later. She wiped her mouth and hands with a few napkins, drinking her minute maid juice Kelsi bought specifically for her. “I’m gonna pay for this later. I’m already knowing it.” She rubbed her rock hard stomach.
“I still can’t believe you’re pregnant again. My soldiers are working over time.” Raine boasted, smirking seductively.
“Get over yourself, Mercier because this is the last baby I’m carrying for a long ass time.” Mel had thought about it already and the second she popped out this baby, she’d be put on five year birth control. Raine thought it’d be a good idea as well, mainly because he didn’t have to worry about buying condoms anymore.
“How are you feeling about it?” He queried, drinking his Hennessey.
“I wasn’t ready for another child this soon. Amandla and Cayden aren’t even a year old yet and here we are expecting one more right after their birthdays. Not to mention we just got married with our third child baking in the oven. Do you know how much help I’m going to need next year with you being at work?”
Mel had been stressing about what life will be like once she delivers this baby and it started to affect her health. Recently, her panic attacks have returned and randomly she’d experience once. Mel has been worried about the status of she and Raine’s relationship and the strain two toddlers and a new born baby will place on it. They will hardly have any time alone.
“Look, neither of us were prepared, but we’re gonna make the best out of this situation.” Raine assured her, putting his arm around her chair. “I understand you don’t believe in nannies, but I think we should look into it. I’m gonna be home as much as I can to take the stress off of you, but those times I’m not there, a nanny will benefit you. I think we should start looking in your third trimester.”
