Update: I went back reread and I saw too many minor mistakes that bothered my soul, so I know it probably irritated you guys as well. I corrected my wrongs, so if you already read, feel free to read it again without the errors and you'll enjoy it better.💖
Walking out of Louise front door it seemed as if nothing even happened except for a large gust of wind. Tree limbs were now on the ground and a few cars were pushed out of their driveways into the road, but nothing major. The skies had gone from black to gray and the rain had let up, although it still drizzled. That was Melrose's queue to get back home and check on Venus, but just as she was power walking down the steps, a text from Venus came through, saying she was ok and to not worry. Relief washed over Melrose instantly and she could breath better as well. After thanking Louise and her family for being generous and opening their home up to them in a time of need, they hurried back to Raine's house. They wouldn't dare chance being caught in another terrible storm.
Stepping over the threshold, Melrose started peeling off her damp sour clothes, leaving a trail of clothes on the floor, following in her footsteps.
With his lips slightly apart, Raine brows were furrowed together, a million questions running through his mind but only one could come out. "Is is really that serious, Mel?"
"Yes, I hate having clothes sticking to my body." She answered, going up the stairs, giving Raine the perfect view of her backside. Biting his lip, Raine daydreamed about wearing her out from the back, while gripping her mounds. Since she's been pregnant Melrose had gained some weight but it all went to the right places, her butt, hips, breast. How can one woman be that voluptuous? He thought as he followed her to their shared bedroom. Melrose had already went into the bathroom and started the shower. Her nerves had calmed down the moment Raine spoke soothingly to her on the floor. If it wasn't for him, she'd have had a full on panic attack and probably brought harm upon her child. If she wasn't thankful for him before, he'd just paid his dues today. Once the water was hot enough, she stepped inside and let her worries wash down the drain. Descending under the shower head, eyes closed, Melrose took in the euphoric feeling of the warm water, pounding her back just as the rain had done Louise's roof hours ago. Raine quietly snuck in the bathroom, bearing himself and slid in the shower behind her.
Jumping at the feel of a pair of hands around her waist, Melrose realized it's just Raine, not an intruder. Leaning her head on his shoulder, they just stood their, enjoying the short lived carefree moment. Each of them had a load of things on their minds, but right now--these seconds of pure bliss overpowered everything else. Bailey's drama, Raine's parents, Johnathon. None of it mattered.
After minutes of standing there in one another arms, Melrose asked the question that's been harboring in Raine's mind. "How long will it stay like this...between us?"
I don't know, is what he truly wanted to say but opted for another answer. One he was sure to keep her leveled headed for a while. "However long you want."

"I done told you to get your ass out of my face. Keep on playing with me and watch I detach your balls from your nutsack skin." Melrose threatened Raine for the...she lost count hours ago."Get your face out of my ass. Nobody told you to penguin walk your ass over here and lay behind me." Raine said, keeping his eyes glued to the tv, watching the maze runner. He'd came down to his theater simply because Melrose had irritated him to the point where they couldn't breathe the same air. She's gotten extremely moody over the past three weeks and although, it's normal during pregnancy, Raine couldn't deal with it. He never had to deal with it for obvious reasons and from how annoying Melrose is, he's kind of glad he didn't. He wouldn't dare tell her that.
