Doodles Part 2

When Logan told Roman about Patton, he couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. Naturally, he wanted to be the first of the two to have a conversation with the person he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with. But he felt happy for his friend. And his friend's... friend.

He frowned as another red line slowly appeared across his wrist, followed by another and another. Roman leaned against his locker, wondering if there was anything he could do. He pulled out a pen and hesitated, running a thumb over the lines. The new blood stains didn't wipe away, they just slowly rolled down his arm as he watched, unable to stop them.

This isn't for me, this is for them. Whoever they are...

'Please don't'

Nothing. No reply. Roman let out a sigh and leaned his head against the locker above before checking his wrist again. He smiled as he spotted unfamiliar, shaky writing.

'Nobody cares'

It caught Roman off guard.

'I care'

'You don't know me'

'No, I don't. But I'd like to'

'Why?'

'Do I need a reason?'

'... Any good coffee near you?'

'Espresso Yourself is near my school'

'Great. 4:30. Don't be late'

Roman slid down the lockers, a dreamy grin plastered across his face. One last purple question appeared.

'Is it okay if I bring a friend?'

'Only if I can bring one too'

The next few lessons flew past until the bell rang, the swarms of people escaping the building to go home. Roman dragged Logan out by the sleeve. "You're coming with me on my date."

"What? Why?"

"They're bringing a friend so I am too. Otherwise it would just be awkward. You could ask this Patton if he wants to go..?"

Logan thought for a second, pulling out a pen and scribbling on his arm.

"He says yes."

Roman grabbed his sleeve, dragging him down the street, following the delicious scent towards their favourite coffee shop.

(Sorry about this. I've taken a long time to not write very much. Part 3 will not be as disappointing or take such a long time. Promise...)
