You sat on the Krossroads with Kitana discussing various subjects, ranging from freeing Shinnok to destroying Earthrealm. You felt like a new pathway was available and if it meant fighting alongside the one you loved, and your friends, then you'd take it. You looked at something that Raiden had given you, a small object to summon him were you in danger. You thought about it for a minute. Leading Raiden to his death could help, but it had a risk of forever sealing the amulet away and ruining any chance of getting Shinnok restored. You felt a hand on your shoulder and looked at Kitana. She seemed to understand. You nodded at her and threw the object into lava, not wanting anything more to do with Raiden after his incompetence had gotten so many killed. Liu Kang arrived and didn't recognise you due to the new armor. He was about to attack when Kitana stopped him
"Liu Kang, wait.", she said to him before she pulled back your hood and you removed your mask, revealing your face. Liu Kang was shocked.
"Y/N, what are you doing here?",  he asked. You sighed
"The same thing you're doing here. I'm against Raiden now after everything he did. He killed you, and left us to fend for ourselves while he went to speak with Gods who do NOTHING while realms suffer! You saw how badly damaged Earthrealm was and yet they did nothing!  Hundreds of innocent people are dead due to their ineptitude to protect us! They are toothless worms!", you shouted at the horizon. Liu Kang sat next to you, nodding
"He murdered us all Y/N. But you're alive. Why do you join us?", he asked. Kitana answered for you
"He joins us because he hates Raiden too. After everything he did to us. Not to mention that....." Kitana struggled to say the next part
"I'm also Edenian like Kitana and Sindel. And to be honest here Liu Kang.....me and Kitana were lovers before Shao Kahn attacked us. I was forced to work as an executioner while Kitana was taken as his daughter and assassin. We barely spoke to each other due to the Emperor's demands. Listen Liu Kang, if you still love Kitana, then I'm not standing in your way. She seems to care about you a lot. I still love her and all, but she seems to care significantly for you", you replied. Kitana was shocked that you'd say that. She'd always felt the same love for you, but she never admitted it due to not being able to tell you. Liu Kang was also surprised. He didn't think that Kitana would fall in love with anyone, especially since she was a revenant now. Kitana held your hand. You smiled at them both. Liu Kang smiled and patted your back.
"It's good to have you on our side. Especially after what Raiden did to us", he said clenching a fist. You nodded. More than ever, you wanted to make Raiden pay. You planned to have a private chat with Kitana soon, but Quan Chi soon arrived.
"Any news Quan Chi?",  you asked.
"The amulet is in the hands of our ally D'Vorah. For now, we must train you and hone your abilities in Kombat."  He replied. You followed him to a training room, Kitana and Liu Kang following behind you. They were eager to see you fight
