You were outside the Temple with D'Vorah, Kitana, Liu Kang and Sindel. You surveyed the landscape with your guns ready in case anyone tried to interfere. You had also taken time to forge a new weapon, one with more range than your wirst cannons.

Once you were sure there was no one around, you headed to speak with the others.
"Lord Shinnok is nearly finished. Soon the Jinsei's corruption will be irreversible", D'Vorah announced to you and the others. You smiled happily. With the Jinsei corrupted beyond any hope of reversing it, Earthrealm would fall easy.
"The invasion can then proceed. Raiden and his allies will be unable to offer resistance", Kitana said with her arms folded. You and her shared a quick glance before Liu Kang spoke up.
"Once the realm falls, our path to victory will be clear", he declared before turning to D'Vorah. "Advise Lord Shinnok that the Oni and Orochi are ready. At his command, we'll unleash them on Earthrealm", he told her. She nodded and went to inform Shinnok. Kung Lao and Enenra then arrived, having been searching for something.
"Have you found Raiden's portal to the Heavens?", Liu Kang asked them.
"Yes. But his wards protect it. We can't break through", Kung Lao replied. You scowled
"That is unacceptable. After Earthrealm is destroyed, we must complete Lord Shinnok's vengeance: invade the Heavens and destroy the Elder Gods", Kitana said with a little anger in her tone. You noticed someone peeking at the group and looked at them, but they ducked down before the others saw. Liu Kang then ordered Kung Lao and Enenra to follow him and he took them somewhere to find a way to break through the wards. Kitana placed a hand on your shoulder
"Is something wrong Y/N?", she asked you. You shook your head and looked at her.
"I thought I saw something looking at us", you replied. Suddenly you heard someone shout "Takeda!" and you, Kitana and Sindel looked over to see a Shaolin archer and what looked like a younger version of Sonya climbing up. You realised this was her daughter, and killing her would hurt Sonya greatly. You and Kitana began dealing with the archer while Sindel dealt with the daughter. You fired at the archer to keep him distracted while Kitana sliced at him with her fans. Somehow he managed to dodge your bullets and counter Kitana's fans at the same time. Soon the daughter of Sonya defeated Sindel. Kitana knocked the archer into a bell and knocked him out. You went to finish him off but the daughter stopped you
"Back off you two!", she ordered. You laughed and Kitana approached the daughter
"You think mere words can stop me?", she asked. You noticed two others arriving and you and Kitana went back to back.
"Thanks for the assist", the blonde one said. You scowled at them
"Tick tock ladies", the boy said.
"Let's just get this over with!!", you said and you and Kitana began fighting the three of them. Kitana fought the two girls while the boy tried using some sort of whips to fight you. You easily caught them and kicked him back before firing at him. He was forced to run around to dodge the bullets. You scored a hit on his side. He gasped out in pain and you then pummelled him with stabs in his body before you kicked him hard in the jaw.
"Y/N, NOW!!", Kitana called out. You grabbed the boy and punched him hard in the stomach so he landed near Kitana. She then used her fans to summon a large tornado around her and lifted the dark skinned girl and the boy into the air, throwing her fans into them. She then retrieved them and began to fight the blonde one. You ran to help her out. You stayed behind Kitana, using your rifle to provide covering fire and to keep the blonde on her toes, but she managed to get past the bullets and ran to you. She shot your rifle out of your hands and kicked you in the face, knocking you down. You woke up later to see the blonde and archer were gone, and the others had arrived. You retrieved your rifle and ran to help
"Y/N go the Jinsei chamber. Protect Lord Shinnok!!! They must not halt his progress", Liu Kang called out. You nodded and ran after them. You arrived in the chamber to see D'Vorah unconscious on the floor and Shinnok attacking Johnny Cage. You soon saw the blonde had Cage's green energy powers too. She was the daughter of Cage as well as Sonya. You aimed the girl and fired at her but the green energy protected her
"Son of a bitch....", you muttered to yourself. You'd heard from Quan Chi how Johnny Cage had defeated Shinnok years ago with the same green energy. You ran to help the others and inform them of the situation. You saw them standing over the weakened two who Kitana had fought.
"Liu Kang!!! We may have trouble! Lord Shinnok is fighting the daughter of Johnny Cage. She has the exact same green energy he does. It protects her against everything I have. Bullets, throwing knives, everything.", you called out to him.
"Lord Shinnok will be able to defeat a mere girl. These two are our targets for now", he replied. You nodded and went to help them out. A few minutes later you heard something and the lot of you looked at the sky to see the red swirl disappearing. You couldn't believe it. The plan had failed!!!!
"We must withdraw", Liu Kang ordered and the 6 of you disappeared through a portal.
