Training

You took a spot on the training room floor and Quan Chi stood opposite you. You got into a stance and he shot a green skull at you.  Using your quick speed and reflexes, you dodged it. He then attempted to kick you using a portal, but you luckily dodged it. He summoned a green broadsword and charged. You fired your wrist guns at him, before using your sword (Yes you have a sword too) to parry his strike.  His sorcery infused power made his strike difficult to block, eventually causing you to drop to one knee. You managed to push him off you, before you swept out his legs and stepped on his chest, sword at his neck. Quan Chi smiled
"You are very quick Y/N. Impressive work with your guns to throw me off my charge attack. Somehow you dodged an attack from behind. How?", he asked you as you took your foot off him and helped him up. Honestly you didn't know. It was probably luck
"In all honesty Quan Chi, I have no idea. It was probably just luck. Luck can only carry one so far. May we do another training session? I feel like I have much to improve on." You requested. He nodded
"In due time Y/N, we will unlock your full abilities. You will become very powerful, like the rest of us", he answered as you sat down somewhere to rest for the next training session. You planned to train constantly, to get better and better at your abilities. Soon it was time for another training session. All the revenants arrived to watch. Even Sindel, Stryker and Kabal watched. Quan Chi teleported up high and managed to kick you to the ground before he moved back. You shook it off and threw your blade at him, which he deflected away. While he did that you unleashed a barrage of gunfire from your wrist guns at him, forcing him to put up a shield. With one hand shooting at Quan Chi, you retrieved your sword and moved back. Quan Chi then used his Trance move to temporarily hypnotise you. But due to the mental effects you'd suffered due to Shao Kahn, it didn't last long. Right as Quan Chi was going to punch you, you grabbed his arm and uppercut him before unleashing your X Ray. You punched him three times across the jaw, breaking it, before impaling him with your sword damaging his ribs. For the final move, you threw him off your sword and roundhouse kicked him in the back, severely affecting his spine. As he lay on the ground, you were cautious. Kitana had warned you to keep your guard up at all times, even with downed opponents. Those warnings were wise to be heeded, as Quan Chi suddenly cast a laser beam at your feet, knocking you down. He got up and healed himself before he jumped at you with his green broadsword and you rolled out of the way in time. He summoned a Netherrealm bat and it flew towards you, claws out and teeth bared. You raised your sword and sliced the bat in half. This left you open. Quan Chi grabbed you and shoved you into a portal. You fell through it just above him and he blasted you with green energy. You got up, battered and bruised and spat out some blood.
"I'm not done yet!", you declared. Quan Chi smiled at you
"Good. Determination, perseverance, dedication. You are growing more powerful than you realise.",  he responded. With that, you two charged each other and locked swords. You managed to hold your own for a while before Quan Chi managed to cut your arm forcing you to drop your sword. He kicked you down and held his sword at your neck.
"True. I'm growing powerful, but nothing like you Quan Chi", you groaned out. The cut on your arm burned. Quan Chi healed your wound and helped you up. You bowed to him
"Y/N L/N, you've learned a lot. I have to admit, that attack you did to me really demonstrated your power. I think Lord Shinnok would be pleased to see you once he's freed", he said with a smile of pride. He healed you using his magic and the revenants walked off to attend their usual matters. You sat against the wall, exhausted.  Kitana walked up to you and knelt down before she hugged you gently.
"You've shown me that you know a lot of techniques. You'll be a valuable resource in our fight against Earthrealm", Kitana said to you. She gently removed your mask and pulled down her mask before she kissed you on the lips. You were initially shocked, but you relaxed into it. Liu Kang watched you two kiss and smiled. He was also very proud of your abilities. Soon you all needed to rest up for the next day. You headed to your room in Quan Chi's Fortress to rest up. It was pretty small for a room, but you didn't complain. You laid on your bed and sighed, trying to sleep. You suddenly felt something wrap around your waist and saw Kitana laying behind you. You smiled and placed a hand on her arm as the two of you slept peacefully. Quan Chi had plans and you would not want to disappoint him. You needed to be at the best you could.
