You're a simple citizen from the realm of Edenia. You were good friends with Princess Kitana. The two of you always shared jokes and socialised with each other whenever possible. But then Shao Kahn attacked Edenia and merged it with Outworld. You were forced to serve the Emperor as an executioner in the Dead Pool. It wasn't a comfortable job, but it had to be done. You barely spoke with Kitana as you barely saw her. And when you did, you only had time for a greeting before you had to resume your work. What Shao Kahn didn't know about you was that you'd secretly been working on weapons and armor for yourself so you could break out and follow Kitana if she left the realm. You'd never admit it but you loved Kitana a lot.
(For those of you who don't know the Dead Pool, it's basically a giant pool of acid)
