Shinnok Restored

After a while, you were sat with Kitana discussing about the restoration of Shinnok.
"I know Quan Chi can do it. But with him captured, it may seem impossible. He's probably going to be forced to restore us...and that's something I don't want. I feel free as a revenant.", you said to Kitana.
"I feel free too. It suits me. I am a victim no longer.", she replied with a smile.
"The main reasons I chose to pledge my allegiance to the Brotherhood of Shadow are quite simple. I hate Raiden for all he did to us, leading us to our deaths, talking with useless deities who did nothing as innocent people died. Another reason, to be with those who I fought alongside. Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub Zero, but mainly you. The princess of Edenia who I fell in love with. I never told you about my feelings back in Edenia during our youth because not only was I too afraid to tell you, I didn't think you'd love me back. I figured it was stupid of me to fall in love with someone who was better than me in every way possible. I mean, a common person falling in love with royalty, especially the heiress to Edenia? It was an accident waiting to happen because I doubt it actually could have worked out at the time to be honest. Not to mention that Sindel seemed to keep looking at me whenever you and her would wander the marketplace. I was afraid to look her in the eyes those days, because I feared she'd know about my love for you.", you said lowering your head. Kitana gently touched your hand and pulled you into a kiss. You relaxed and held her close as the two of you kissed. Soon you separated and looked into each other's eyes.
"Y/N...when I first saw you defending poor people from those who treated them as if they were inferior,  and giving the poor people food even though you yourself were hungry, I saw something in you that I tried to deny constantly. I had also fallen in love with you. I didn't want to admit it for fear it made me seem weak. So I tried to hide it as best as possible.", Kitana replied. Soon Liu Kang arrived.
"We should make our way through the portal now. We must see if Quan Chi has restored Shinnok", he said. The two of you nodded and headed through the portal alongside Kung Lao, Sindel and Smoke, who called himself Enenra now. You arrived at the Special Forces base to see Shinnok standing there

"Praise be to Lord Shinnok", Liu Kang said and the six of you bowed to him.

"Let us be on our way", Shinnok ordered.

"There is an Earthrealm force in Netherrealm", Liu Kang warned. Shinnok brushed off the warning.

"I am aware. They will be neutralised", Shinnok replied and the lot of you headed off to carry out Shinnok's plans. You spared a glance at your old friends laying on the ground, but scowled at them and followed your new leader through the portal.
