chapter 5

"guardian of han jisung?" the doctor said looking around the waiting room. i shot my head up after 4 hours of waiting. "h-here! his parents live abroad so i'm h-here." i said with my voice shaking.

"who are you to han jisung? sorry, we need to ask this for safety matters." the doctor said giving me a soft smile. i nodded "i am his... girlfriend". he smiled at me again and lead the boys and i into his ward. i let the boys go first while i trailed behind, i was still in shock to face him.

"yo yo! what's up my hyungs and dongsaengs!" he sounded so happy. i smiled a bit and came out from behind chan. "h-hi jisung" i said as i waved. "hi?" he hesitantly waved his hand back and turned his attention back to the boys.

"so what are you guys doing here? i missed you guys so much~" he said as he hugged jeongin. "um.. hyung you're never this touchy with us. only with eunah you are." jeongin in said as he tried to release himself from jisungs grip.

"eunah? who's that?" jisung said asking the boys with a confused face. the boys looked at one another then looked back at me. "yah, jisung, that's not funny." chan said. "hyung i'm being serious. who is eunah?" the boys looked at each other again then at me. my eyes got watery as i tried to fight back the tears.

"i-i'm eunah..." jisung looked at me strangely then back at the boys, again. "why would i be touchy with chan hyungs girlfriend?" jisung said as he pointed at our interlocked hands. i quickly let go and made my way closer to jisung.

"j-jisung... i'm your ex girlfriend. before the accident... you had quite smoking and you were going to throw away the cigarettes and the lighter... on your way back to me we were looking at one another and... and... the ca-car came and... hit you" i said as the tears fell from my eyes. he looked at me and wiped away my tears.

"i might not remember you, but it seems i was really important to you. it also seems that you were very important to me too if i stopped smoking just for you. but... i can't remember. i'm sorry. please don't come here again." he said turning his face away from mine. i stood there shocked as i made my way out.

i made my way out of the hospital in tears. how can this happen? how can everything we had disappear just because of accident? how can he just not remember me if we spent so much time together in each others life?

"eunah!" i heard my name being called as i quickly wiped away my tears turning to chan. "the doctor said he lost his memory due to stress and anger before the accident. he said whatever was on jisungs mind before the accident... he lost all memory of.... and from what it seems like, you were on his mind before the accident. all we have to do i bring him to places where you two had special moments and try to bring back his memory one step at a time. but... if we take too long or it he really can't get it then his memory will stay this way permanently." chan said as he panted.

"he said he didn't want to see me anymore.. chan what if he never remembers me? what if this turns out to be a one-sided love and he leaves me for someone else? chan.. this hurts so badly" i said as tears flowed out of my eyes. chans eyes got watery and he pulled me into a hug.

"we'll try okay? it doesn't hurt to try. we'll make him remember you... and we'll give you your happy ending. that's all the boys wants. that's all i want, for your happiness. we'll work hard okay?" he said wiping away my tears and kissing my forehead.
