Dr.Flugs PoV
I sat in the kitchen, waiting for BlackHats return. I poured him his mug of coffee, the smell making my stomach turn slightly. I brushed it off, leaving it on the counter as I took my mug of hot cocoa in my hands. I sipped at the cup, soon seeing BlackHat walk back into the kitchen. I smiled at him, but he seemed lost about soemthing, a far off look in his eyes for a moment.
My smile faded as I set my mug down, walking up to him.
"BlackHat? Babe, what's wrong?" I asked quietly. I gently used my hand, putting it on his cheek and making him look at me. I stared up at him, the red of his iris holding emotions of worry and stress. He was quiet for a moment, before sighing and pulling me closer to him by my waist.
"Flug, we can't stay here. Its not safe," he said. I held a puzzled look on my face, but I knew that whatever that phone call was, had to do something with this. "WhiteHat called....he said that a hero saw us on our walk. Your going to be a target, I can't risk you or the baby getting hurt," he said. I looked down, holding onto the fabric of his shirt.
As much as I hated to admit it, he was right. If the hero community caught wind of this, they'd go to exstream lengths to injure us. Staying here wouldn't be safe, even with the advanced security systems there's always the chance that they'd find a way to get to us. BlackHat getting hurt would be horrible enough, but the baby?
I don't think I could handle that.
I quietly nodded, a soft sigh leaving my lips as I looked up at him.
"Okay....I'll pack my things," I said quietly. He smiled slightly.
"Hey, don't be sad love. It won't be for too long. We'll be back before you know it. We just have to wait for the heat to die down," he said. I let a smile crack my lips, and I leaned up, giving him a gentle peck on the lips. I made my way out of the kitchen and to my room. I grabbed a bookbag, filling it with my various sweaters and pairs of jeans and other pants. I took one last look at my room, the silence almost stabbing me. I didn't exactly want to leave, I mean, this was our home.
But it was for the best.
I smiled to myself as I pushed the bad thoughts out of my head and tried to think of the good ones. I exited my room, heading out to meet BlackHat in the living room. He grinned as he seen me.
"Ready?" he asked. I nodded and he took my bag from me, making me roll my eyes as we headed out to the car. "I put Demencia on guard while we're gone, and WhiteHat gave me the update on everything. GreyHat agreed to come and house sit while we were away with Dr.Clug. he's giving us a spare room and keeping Yamencia and E.0.3 there for protection and help if we need it."
I nodded at the new information. It will be rather strange to be living in someone else's mansion, with different people. But if BlackHat thought it was safe, I was all for it.
He put my bag in the back seat of the car, getting in the drivers seat as I took my spot in the passenger.
"GreyHat and WhiteHat wanted to visit you to make sure you were alright first before everything is set. Hopefully having the mansion occupied still, but not with us, might calm down the heat after awhile. Demencia and 5.0.5 are staying because GreyHat is definitely gonna need the help if someone tried to attack. He's not really a fighter," BlackHat explained, starting up the car.
BlackHat had two brothers, unlike me who only had the one. BlackHat was the youngest of the three, to my surprise.
WhiteHat was very bubbly, and showed to be very nice and sweet. He was the oldest of the three, working with my brother as his scientist. He'd had his fair share of flirting with me here and there, but really he was just a sweetie. He was the friend everyone needs when they're having a bad day.
