Everyone always thinks their kid is so cute.

Until they learn how to walk.

"Damien!" BlackHat and I yelled as we ran around the mansion in search of the boy. "BlackHat! Where did he go!? I thought you said he was here just a minute ago!" I yelled frantically. He looked under the table and checked anywhere else he could.

"He was, I swear! I know he's still here, he couldn't have gone far, I can still feel his presence!" he said, beginning to look in the closets. There was sudden clang along with a childs laughter from down the hall and BlackHat and i looked at each other before dashing off in that direction.

We approached the lab, finding the door still open a little and we both rushed in to find Damien reaching for a ray gun on the table.

"You left the lab door open!?" BlackHat said frantically as I picked up the child before he could hurt himself.

"You were the one who lost him in the first place!" I yelled back at him. Damien must have thought BlackHat and I we're playing some sort of game as he decided to join in with the yelling.

"Juice!" the one year old yelled with a giggle as he rested on my hip. BlackHat face palmed and I sighed.

"Baby bean, if you wanted juice, why didn't you ask daddy? Don't go wandering off like that, you scared mommy," I said, kissing his cheek. The boy looked up at me and giggled, squishing my cheeks.

"Juice peas?" he asked. I laughed and nodded, walking out of the lab and being sure to close the door once BlackHat was out with us.

Of course it wasn't always like this, but still, He has had his fair share of scaring the wits out of BlackHat and I. We found that out when Damien first wandered off and ended up in BlackHats office, playing with BlackHats let snake.

"Holy shit on a shingle what is happening!?" I yelped, seeing a snake wrapped around my child. Black Hat laughed as he watched Damien pet the snake and giggle.

"Calm down, it's just little Jackie, she's a lovable snake, don't worry. Aren't you baby? Yes you are," BlackHat cooed to the snake. The snake cuddled into BlackHats palm and Damien laughed as the snake flicked its tongue out a few times at him.

"Snek!" Damien said with a giggle as he pet the black snake lovingly. I steadily took a step back, not wanting anything to do with snakes.

"Fine, fine, whatever, i trust you. Just don't let that thing near me. And if it eats my baby I will strangle you with that thing," I huffed, walking out of the office.

After that, I began to dread the day he developed his powers. And not Because he was literally a demon child, but because he would be growing up. And that scares the living day lights out of me. I liked being his parent. Liked taking care of him. Not being able to do that one day, scares me to no end. So I cherished the small things.

But by the time he turned three, he began to develop a personality of his own. He was mischievous, wonderfully smart for only three years old, and very independent for the most part. He was like a perfect mix of BlackHat and i in so many more ways than one. But he still needed his parents at times no matter how much the boy hated to admit it.

"Mommy," I heard a small voice whisper. I opened my eyes, rubbing them lightly as I sat up to see Damien on the side of the bed, hugging his bear tightly as sparkling tears dripped down his cheeks.

"What's wrong darling?" I asked sitting up and putting him on my lap. He cuddled to my chest and sniffled with a small shutter.

"I h-had a bad d-dream," he sniffled. I cuckled and ran a hand through his hair, picking him up and beginning to head to his room. I laid him down in bed and sat at the edge as he clung to his bear, still sitting up.
