I was just out of the hall when I was grabbed. A huge guy grabbed my shoulder and pushed me back against the wall. “Who the fuck are you?” he snarled. I looked up at the guys petrified. He had gray eyes that were currently sparking with fury. He had black hair and a masculine jaw structure. I just stared up at him terrified. I couldn’t make the words come out of my mouth. And what was I supposed to say? Nia liked me and made me stay the night. Yeah right.

“Nate!” said Nia’s voice. “Let go of her.” The snarling guy looked back. Was this their alpha? It had to be, he was radiating fury and power. Suddenly the fury eased some.

“Kitten” he said calmly. He let me go and went over to Nia. He hugged her and picked her up. “I missed you.”

She giggled. “I missed you too, but I also made a new friend.” Nate pulled back and looked at her confused.

“A new friend?” He tilt his head and looked at her curious.

“Yes, she’s right over there.”

Nate looked right at me. He snarled. “Fuck no. Make another friend because she’s about to leave.” I whined. It didn’t sound like he listened to her that much.

“You won’t touch her Nate. “

“Oh, I won’t?” he asked challenging her.

“No” she said confidently. “She is my new friend and you wouldn’t dare make me unhappy.” They stared at each other for a while and I was waiting to see who would cave first. After five minutes it was Nate that sighed and looked away.

“Couldn’t you make friends with a girl that’s inside the pack not some rogue? She could be dangerous.”

“She’s not dangerous, she’s been around me all day.”

Nate took on a furious look. “There has been a rogue on our land all day and no one told me!” Nate looked around at the rest of the pack and they all cowered back.

“Yes. I made them keep quiet.”

“Nia!” he shouted. “That isn’t something you should keep from me. What if she attacked you?”

“She also has a name” I said annoyed. Nate snarled and I wished I had kept my mouth shut.

“You’ll be quiet, because one smart remark and you may not make it out of this house in one piece.” I looked away and really wished I had stayed quiet. The pure fury in his eyes was enough to stop your heart.

“Nate, stop scaring her. She is nice and wouldn’t hurt a fly. Kasha is mated too. Don’t you dare take away that poor alpha’s love.”

Nate sighed and set her down. “Fine, but I don’t see why you had to bring her here.”

“I invited her to stay.”

“WHAT?” He turned to Nia furious. “Nia she is a rogue wolf, she could hurt the pack. Did you even think of their safety?”

“Of course I did. I wouldn’t have brought her anywhere near them if I thought she was dangerous. Trust me, Kasha is tame.” Nate looked over at me and his gray eyes were critical and analyzing.

“I don’t like this. There shouldn’t be a danger like her near you.”

Nia crossed her arms over her chest. “Nathaniel you are making me very unhappy.” She sounded very annoyed. This was the first time her voice really sounded upset, since I had met her.

Nate looked at her shocked. “Nathaniel? Are you really that mad at me?” I felt like I was missing something. Nia was looking away and the frown on her face was darkening her exotic looks. “Come on kitten. Try to see it through my eyes.”
