"I feel like a six out of ten,
I've gotta get up early tomorrow again..."6/10, Dodie
Jeonghan stirred, rubbing at his eyes and pushing his hair back from his face. He felt groggy, cracking one eye open to peer around the room. Both Seungkwan and Junhui's beds were empty, the curtains open and daylight streaming through. He sat up abruptly.
"I didn't have a nightmare," he realised. His eyes widened. "I didn't have a nightmare!?"
"Morning," said Seungcheol, smiling as he entered the room, sitting down on Jeonghan's bed. "How are you today, Han?"
Jeonghan fought back a grin. "Seungcheol."
"Yes?"
"I didn't have a nightmare last night," Jeonghan told him, biting his lip.
"Really?" Seungcheol uttered. "That's great!"
He nodded excitedly. Seungcheol looked at him proudly, resting a hand on his shoulder, but the long haired boy leaned forward and hugged him tightly.
Jeonghan loved hugging Seungcheol. The older man was warm, his body both hard with muscle and soft like a pillow, making for a fantastic hug. The nurse even smelled good. The way his arms held Jeonghan so securely and tenderly made him want to never let go.
"Ready for your check up?" Seungcheol asked him as he pulled away, and Jeonghan thought he looked so cute.
He nodded, prompting Seungcheol to get up off the bed, Jeonghan following after him. He washed his face and brushed his teeth, pulling his hair back from his face as he followed Seungcheol to the examination room. He secured his hair in a messy bun, taking off his pyjamas as stepping onto the scales like he did every morning.
"Good," Seungcheol murmured, tapping Jeonghan's shoulder. The patient stepped off, tugging his pyjamas back on so he could stop looking at his body. "How are you feeling today?"
"Maybe... a six out of ten?"
Seungcheol smiled at him, taking off his reading glasses. "I'll bet that's better than seven weeks ago, though. Right?"
"Right," Jeonghan admitted, wanting to hide his smile behind his hair, but he'd tied it up.
"Your hair looks nice like that," the nurse commented, sitting on the edge of his desk.
"Really?"
"Yeah, tied up like that," Seungcheol confirmed, nodding, "It's nice."
The two stared at each other for a moment. Seungcheol sat there, making Jeonghan feel like he was daring him to step closer. Jeonghan thought about kissing the man.
"I should have b-breakfast," Jeonghan mumbled, gesturing towards the door.
"Sure," Seungcheol said easily, standing up straight, fiddling with his sweater sleeve.
