Soonyoung and Jihoon special chapter
"Jihoonie?" Soonyoung asked in a small voice, fiddling with his fingers as he sat on his boyfriend's bed.
"Yes, Hoshi?" Jihoon called from the bathroom, emerging with his hair dripping and a towel around his waist. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Soonyoung said, smiling widely. His carrot hair was fading and he felt like a change, but being away from the others at Dr Kim's house made him feel very alone, despite being with Jihoon almost all of the time.
"You sure, baby?" Jihoon asked as he got dressed in a black t-shirt and blue jeans. He pulled on a pair of socks, glancing over at his boyfriend. "You can say that you're not, it's alright."
"Hoonie," Soonyoung pouted.
"What is it, baby?" Jihoon cooed, going over to him and placing a hand on Soonyoung's cheek. He hugged the taller boy who buried his face in his chest.
"I'm just gonna miss you," he mumbled.
"That's not it," the short man said gently, running his fingers through his boyfriend's pale orange hair. "What's bothering you?"
"I just feel like... I don't really know who I am anymore," Soonyoung admitted, looking up at Jihoon. "I'm always alone, and-"
"Hoshi, I can't help that I've got classes," Jihoon sighed, pouting. "I don't want to leave you alone all day."
"Mom is always busy, too," Soonyoung said. "And, I know - it's not your fault, Jihoonie. I just miss you when you're away."
Jihoon chewed on his lip. "How about you come to class with me today?" he suggested.
Soonyoung's mouth fell open. "Really?" he uttered. "B-but, you never let me go to class with you!"
"Hoshi, that was one time," Jihoon groaned. He'd had a group project that week to finish with his coursemates, and he knew that his boyfriend would've only distracted him. Soonyoung still had mood-swings from time to time, as well, and Jihoon wouldn't have been able to be there for him. Soonyoung had been taken aback at Jihoon's initial stern answer, so hadn't pushed him again. It had only been a couple of weeks since he left the care of Dr Kim's house and he was having trouble adjusting.
"I can really come with you?" Soonyoung repeated, jumping up. "Thank you, Jihoonie! I've always wanted to see what university is like!"
Jihoon smiled at him, taking his face and kissing him. He felt sad that Soonyoung had missed out completely in the university experience the same time as others his age, barely graduating high school before taking a turn for the worse. But now he was back, and Jihoon was more than ready to help his boyfriend with whatever he wanted to do now.
"Get dressed then, baby," he chuckled, watching Soonyoung jump around the room. "Unless you want to meet my mates in your pyjamas!"
"I get to meet your friends?" Soonyoung asked, stopping in his tracks.
"They're in my class, Hoshi," Jihoon said as he looped a black belt through his jeans and stuck a black cap on his head. "Hurry up, then."
"Yes, Hoonie," Soonyoung said with a grin, running over to kiss Jihoon's cheek before grabbing at the clothes he had taken to leaving in Jihoon's room. He got dressed, biting the inside of his cheek as he thought about the day ahead.
"Ready?"
"Yep!"
"Let's go then," Jihoon said with a smile, grabbing his backpack and Soonyoung's hand, and heading to the car park outside his apartment.
