Jeonghan sat on his bed, legs crossed and hands fiddling with a hair tie in his lap. He had endured breakfast already, and knew that Josh wouldn't let him out of Daily Reflection. Seungkwan would either be allowed to skip it, or Hansol would be forced to join in. It was bad enough with just the residents.
He sighed loudly.
"Why the big sigh, sweetie?" June asked softly from where he was sitting quietly, cross-legged on the bed at the other side of the room.
Jeonghan smiled a little before sighing again. "I don't know... everything?"
"New everything or old everything?"
The long-haired boy raised an eyebrow. June was spot-on with that remark.
"New, I think," said Jeonghan, pinging the hair tie against his wrist a couple of times. "But the old always hangs about."
"Yeah," June agreed.
"There's not a quiet place in this damn house," Wonwoo complained, carrying a stack of origami paper squares in his hands as he entered the room wearing one of his bvb shirts.
"I'm trying to be Jeonghan's therapist," June stated, closing the lid of his pink nail polish.
"Oh," Wonwoo mumbled, glancing at the new friend he thought he had made. "Should I...?"
"It's okay," Jeonghan told him.
"Your old room must be lonely," June mused.
Wonwoo nodded, then shrugged. He looked at Seungkwan's bed, the covers rumpled. He tentatively sat down and grabbed a sheet of blue paper to give his shaking fingers something to do.
"We all miss Soonyoung," Jeonghan voiced.
"I don't like it being so empty in my room," Wonwoo admitted, blushing as he revealed his feelings.
"It'll be okay, sweetie," June told him airily, coming to sit on Jeonghan's bed.
"Anyway, you were trying to be Jeonghan's therapist or something?" Wonwoo said, pressing one corner of the paper down.
"What new thing is bothering you, sweetie?" June asked Jeonghan.
"Seungcheol," Wonwoo muttered.
"Excuse me," Jeonghan said defensively. But when Wonwoo and June were both looking at him, he huffed. "Okay, fine. I can't decide if it's a bad thing or not."
"It's not bad," Wonwoo told him. "Seungcheol's totally gay."
"Just because he's gay, doesn't mean he's interested- wait, he's actually gay?" said Jeonghan in a hushed tone.
June giggled. "Definitely."
"He's cooking, so he won't come up here," Wonwoo added informatively. "He always spends at least one hour straight in the kitchen. What happened to you this morning, anyway?" He nodded towards Jeonghan's knee which was strapped up and visible beneath a pair of shorts he now wore.
"That's the most words I've ever heard you say in one go," Jeonghan commented, causing Wonwoo to go bright red. "Seungkwan knocked me over and I hurt it."
"Be careful," said June, offering a smile.
"I will be," Jeonghan chuckled. "Anyway," he said to Wonwoo, "How do you know Seungcheol is gay?"
"Easy," Wonwoo replied with a shrug.
"We're getting off topic," said June. "Why is it bothering you?"
"Because I think... I like him?" Jeonghan winced. Saying it out loud made it suddenly seem real.
"Okay."
