Didi's POV
I stared at my notebook. I was so proud of the song I had written.
I looked around. In front of me was my keyboard. My guitar was on my bed. On the table in front of me was my laptop. I gasped as I looked at the watch. I was sitting here for 3 hours?
I then heard the door open and saw my best friend come in.
"Hey Didi" Melody said. Melody was the first person I met when I came here and soon enough we were best friends! She was studying Music Production and Vocals at Berklee with me and had a really beautiful voice.
"Hey Mel. Where have you been? "I asked her.
"I had to finish a few assignments of mine. I'm so tired." Mel said.
I giggled at her childish behaviour.
"But don't tell me you've been sitting there at the same place for the last 3 hours!" Mel said widening her eyes.
How did she know me so well?
"I know Mel. I'm quite surprised myself. But I'm so happy about the song I wrote today! " I said.
"I wanna hear it! Now!" Mel said.
"No!! I'm first gonna complete it. Then you can hear it. " I smiled at her.
"Okayyyy."She said.
"Now since I'm so tired after doing my assignments and you've been sitting there for 3 hours, I guess you may be hungry. Wanna go to McD and grab something? " Mel asked.
"Sure. Lemme just grab my purse."I replied.
"Okay" she said.
"C'mon let's go." I said.
As I was sitting in the passengers seat, I started thinking about my internship and the demos which I sent to Syco Records.
"I just hope they like it" I unknowingly said it a bit loud.
Mel who was currently driving looked at me and said, "Thinking about your demos and the internship. Am I right?"
I just nodded my head.
"Don't worry! I'm sure they'll love it!"
Mel cheered.
"I just hope it works out. I really want it." I sighed.
"Oh Diya! Come on! Stop over thinking ! Right now, let's go in and just over eat! Okay?"Mel joked. I was surprised she called me by my real name and not by my nick name.
Of course, she knew how to cheer me up.
"I think you're right. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. But right now, let's just eat!" I said happily.
"Yay! Let's go. "Mel said.
"What do you wanna eat? "Mel asked.
"Let's see...ummm.."I scanned the menu on the top.
"I'll take a McChicken Burger and a coke."Mel said.
"Okay, I'll have a McChicken Burger too, and Fries and a Coke. " I said.
We payed the bill and walked towards an empty table.
As we were eating, Mel took one of my fries and I gave her a death glare.
She looked a bit sacred and said, "Hey it's just one fry."
I couldn't control anymore and burst out laughing.
"Hey! Chill Mel ! Don't worry I'm not Joey Tribbiani. I'll share my food with you!" I said still laughing. (Friends was mine and her favorite TV show)
Melody just shook her head as she laughed.
After eating, we went back to our room and decided to jam for sometime since that was one of our favorite things to do.
