Chapter 41

Didi's POV

We had reached Detroit and the boys went for sound check. Even I wanted to go but Harry forced me to stay in the room coz he wanted me to rest.

I noticed that my phone was ringing and saw that Mel was calling me up.

"Hey, Mel. Ssssupp?" I asked her.
"Nothing much. What are you doing?" she asked me.
"Well, I'm in the hotel room and the boys went for sound check. But Harry didn't let me go with him coz I'm not feeling well and the doctor told me to be indooors." I said.
"What? What happened? Are you okay now?" she asked.
"It's just a minor flu." I said.
"Oh, okay. So, you reached Detroit right?" she asked me.
"Yeah, almost 2 hours back." I said.
"Oh, okay. Hey, my mom's calling me now. I'll talk to you later. Bye." she said.
"Ummm, okay. Bye." I said.

Hanging up suddenly was okay. But, she sounded a bit different. I don't know what's happening there. I hope everything's okay.

"Hey baby, how are you feeling?" Harry came in after sound check and asked me.
"I guess I'm feeling a bit better." I said.
"That's good." he said and gave me a peck on the lips.
"Did you take the medicines?" he asked me.
"Yeah Harry, I did." I said.
"Good." He said.
"Oh, by the way, I bought a watch for Liam. Do you think he'll like it?" I asked him.
"Yeah, he'll like it. Don't worry baby. Do you wanna give it to him now? Or, after the concert?" he asked me.
"I'll give him when we go out tonight." I said.
"But, I don't think you should come. The doctor told you to rest. And I don't wanna go without you." he said.
"Harry, you're right. But you have to go." I said.
"But - " he was saying but I interrupted him.
"No but Harry. You have to go, and you will go. Okay? " I said.
"Okay, I'll go." he said.

After the concert

After me and Harry gave Liam his gift, Harry was getting ready, and I was just staring at him in awe. He was so amazing. No one would be able to find even one flaw in him. He was so perfect. He was so sweet, so caring. I never thought that there was someone in this world who would care for me. But he does. There is no possible way that someone could not fall in love with him. I always read about love in books, heard about love in songs and movies, but for the first time, it was reality. And for the first time, I was really scared of losing someone. And that was him.

"Diya, Diya.. Diya." Harry said and I came out of the world of my thoughts.
"Oh, ummm, yeah, ummm, uh, yeah? What?" I said.
"Hey, you're okay? I'm standing here and I called you thrice but you didn't answer. What happened?" Harry asked me.
"Nothing. I just spaced out. Don't worry." I said.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yeah, yeah." I said and hugged him.
"What was that for?" he asked.
"Nothing, just like that." I said.
"Ummm, okay." he said, still doubtful about why I suddenly acted this way.

"Hey Harry, you're ready?" Liam came in and asked.
"Oh yeah, I'm coming, just 2 minutes." he said to Liam.

"I'll get going, okay? And I'll be back as soon as possible." He said.
"No Harry, it's okay. You can be there for as long as you want. No need to come back early just because of me. I don't wanna come in your way." I said.
"I'll try to come back early because I wanna be with you. And you're never in the way. Please. Okay?" he said and I nodded.
"Good. I'll see you later. Okay? Bye." he said and kissed me.
"Bye Harry." I said and he walked out of the room.

I was reading a book and about 45 minutes of reading, I heard someone knock. I know Harry said he'd come early, but, isn't now, too early?
I looked in the camera and saw it was Mel. What? Maybe it was someone who looked similar. I opened the door and heard,
"Surprise"
I saw Mel, Nick and Sandy in front of me.
"Oh my God you guys? How come you're here?" I said hugging them.
"We knew you were so busy. So we thought we'd come and meet you." Nick said.
"I never expected this, really." I said.
"Yeah, we knew you never expected this. That's why we came here to surprise you." Sandy said.
"I love you guys so much. I missed you." I said.
"We missed you too." Mel said.
"So tell us, how are things here?" Nick said.
"Things are going so great here. I love it." I said.
"I'm so happy for you." Mel said.
"And tell us, how's everything with Harry?" Sandy said teasing me.
"Oh, he's so great. He's caring, he's sweet. And, I never thought someone would care so much for me. But he does." I said.
"Aww, don't say that. But I'm glad you're happy." Sandy said.
"Man, you look so in love." Mel said and I could feel my cheeks heating up.
"Ummm, you know, I really think, I am. No, I don't think, I know I am." I said.
"Wow. But, did you tell him?" Mel asked.
"No, not yet. Coz, what if he's not at that stage yet? I don't think I'll be able to handle that." I said.
"You know what? I think he does. I knew from the day I spoke to you guys on Skype." Mel said.
"Maybe, but, I don't wanna say anything now." I said.
"Yeah, we understand." Sandy said.
"Tell me more. C'mon" Mel said.
"You know what? He's my first boyfriend, and he's my first love. That doesn't happen often, does it?" I said.
"You're so lucky. It's tough to find someone you really love." Mel said.
"Yeah, I consider myself so lucky to have him. But, at the same time, I feel that I don't deserve him. I feel he's too good." I said.
"Hey, don't say that. You deserve everything you have. Okay?" Mel said.
"Yeah, don't put yourself down like that." Sandy said.

After talking for about 20 minutes, I realized that I never asked them how they came here. I'm sure there's a lot of security and all.
"But wait, how did you guys come here? How did you know we're here?" I asked them.
"So, I remember you told me you were staying in this hotel in Detroit. And what we had planned was to call you down and give you a surprise. But we met Paul down. And thank God for the day you introduced me to Paul that day when we were video calling. So, we came up and gave you a surprise." Mel said.
"Ohhh." I said.
"But how are you feeling now? You said you went to the doctor." Nick said.
"I'm feeling a bit better now. The doctor told me to not go outside and just rest. And if I was feeling well, I would actually be at Liam's birthday party. And your surprise would be ruined. So, in one way it's good that I didn't go." I said.
"What? I didn't know you were gonna go there! IDK what we would have done if you would've gone there." Mel said.

"So, how's everything at your end?" I asked them.
"Everything's good. I guess I'm gonna get signed as a producer soon." Sandy said.
"Hey, that's amazing!" I said.
"I guess I'm gonna have to go to Nashville coz I got signed as a songwriter." Nick said.
"Wow, I'm so happy for you!" I said.
"I'm going to LA coz I got signed as a producer to Capitol." Mel said.
"Congratulations gal! I'm so proud of you and I'm so happy for you." I said.
"But you know what? I didn't wanna be that 'how are things at your end' friend. I'm sorry guys, that I don't spend enough time with you." I said.
"Hey, don't be silly. We know how much this meant to you, how important this is to you." Nick said and he gave me a hug.
"I'm so glad you guys understand." I said and I then saw Harry walk in.

Harry's POV

I wanted to spend my time with Diya. So I left the party and came to the hotel room. I opened the door and saw her hugging some guy. Maybe he was her friend. I'm jealous, and I'm scared of losing her. Here I'm falling in love with her and seeing her hug him makes me so much more jealous. Maybe it's nothing, but, I can't help but get a little mad.

"Harry, you came quite early. I told you, you didn't have to. But I'm happy you came early, look who came to have me a surprise! This is Melody, Sandy and Nick." she said.
"Hey Harry, nice to meet you." Nick said.
"Hey mate, nice to meet you." Sandy said.
"Hi, nice to meet you." I said to them.
I don't know if I should feel this way or not, but, it's the first time I've found someone whom I love, and if she doesn't feel the same way, then I don't know what I'll do.

Didi's POV

"Harry, you came quite early. I told you, you didn't have to. But I'm happy you came early, look who came to give me a surprise! This is Melody, Sandy and Nick." I said.
"Hey Harry, nice to meet you." Nick said.
"Hey mate, nice to meet you." Sandy said.
"Hi, nice to meet you." he said to them.

"Man, I can't believe Harry Styles is in front of me." Mel said and he laughed. But Harry didn't look that happy. I don't know why.

After talking for I don't know how long, Nick said,
"It's getting late. We should get going now."
"Wait, where are you guys going, and which hotel are you guys staying at?" I asked them.
"We're staying at aunt Emily's." Mel said.
"Oh okay. We'll meet tomorrow right? We can have breakfast together. You guys come at, ummm, 10? Okay?" I said.
"That'd be great. But maybe you guys have any other plans." Sandy said.
"Harry, do you have any plans for tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Ummm, no." He said, his voice sounded emotionless.
"Okay then. I'll see you guys tomorrow at 10." I said.
"Bye, goodnight." They said.
"I love you guys so much. Thank you." I said hugging them.

"Bye, we'll see you tomorrow." They said and walked out.

"Harry, what's the matter? Why do you look so mad?" I asked him.
"Nothing, ummm, I'm just tired and I wanna, ummm, sleep." he said.
"Harry, are you sure?" I asked him.
"There's nothing to tell. I'm okay." he said.
I don't know what was wrong. Did something happen at the party? Coz before that he was normal.

I was laying next to him and he hugged me.
"Harry?" I said.
"Baby I wanna sleep. Let me sleep now please. We can talk tomorrow." he said.
Why was he behaving this way suddenly? Did I do something wrong?

Harry's POV

I was laying next to her and I hugged her.
"Harry?" she said.
"Baby I wanna sleep. Let me sleep now please. We can talk tomorrow." I said.

I know I sounded rude, but I was mad.
I know I shouldn't be, but I am. I know I'm not acting mature. But this time, I don't care, coz I don't wanna lose her. It's not her fault. It's me who's jealous of that Nick guy. She just hugged him, but still. He's known her longer than me, and maybe he understands her better than me. I just can't lose her, she's too special to me. That's why I was so pissed.
