Chapter 16 (London)

Didi's POV

Today was Saturday and I got up at 7am. Yes, I'm a morning person. Till about 8.30am I studied my Berklee assignments and all. I then took a long shower. I decided that I should wear something casual since he was gonna show me around London. So I decided to wear my plaid shirt (I always loved plaid shirts), black skinny jeans and sneakers. I let my hair be in a casual pony and put a little makeup. By the time I got ready it was 9.45am. I had just 15mins left. So I checked if I had taken everything. At 10am sharp, Harry texted me.
From:Harry
Hey Diya! I'm here! I'm waiting outside in a black Rangerover. Harry xxx

"Bye Diya! Have fun! " my aunt said.
"Bye! " I said and walked out of the house.

"Hey Diya! Good Morning! " Harry said.
"Hi Harry! Good Morning! " I said.
"So, you ready to see all the amazing things London has?" he smiled and said.
"Yeah! Let's go! " I said.
"Harry? " I asked him.
"What about your fans? They're crazy. I know because I'm one of them." I chuckled.
"Don't worry. Just act cool and normal." he laughed.
We went to this sweet little cafe which was not very crowded.
"I always come here and they know me very well. C'mon, let's go inside." he said.
"Hey Harry! Nice to see you! " the guy at the counter said.
"Hey Mike! This my friend Diya, she's one of our producers and songwriters and Diya, this is Mike, the owner of this cafe." Harry said.
"Nice to meet You Mike. " I said.
"Nice to meet you too Diya."he said.
We sat on the table which was a bit inside the cafe because I'm pretty sure that Mike didn't want thousands of people outside his cafe.

Harry's POV
"So, what do you want to eat? " I asked her.
"Ummm, I don't know, is there something you'd suggest? " she asked me.
"You should definitely try their chicken sandwich and chocolate chip cookies. " I told her.
"Okay. I'll go with that then. " she said.
"What do you want to drink? " I asked her.
"Water is fine. " she said.
"Okay" I said and the waiter came to take our orders.
"Are you guys ready to order? " the waiter asked smirking at Didi.
How dare he do that?
"Yes, we'll have 2 chicken sandwiches and 2 plates of chocolate chip cookies." I said annoyed. I'd never met this waiter before. I guess he was new.
"Here it is sir. " the waiter said as he kept the dishes on the table and also kept a small paper near Didi's side.
She opened it and saw, and then tore it off without thinking twice.
"What was in that? " I asked.
"I guess his phone number. " she said as if it was no big deal.
I just nodded, but of course, I felt jealous.
"My first boyfriend is of course going to be someone special." she said.
First? How can someone not date her?
"First? " I asked her. Why did I ask her? It's gonna be awkward now.
"Ummm, yeah." she stuttered.
"Let's not make this awkward okay?" I said.
"Yeah. It's just that I'm someone who always wanted to be independent. I always focused on my work, my passion. For me, always, my passion for music came first, and love could wait." she said.
She was so different from anyone I ever dated. She would be hard to win, but I'll wait, and I'm definitely gonna do it.
"So, Ummm,.. " I said.
"Hey!  You said you didn't want it to be awkward and now you're stuttering? " she laughed.
"I'm sorry. The guy you'll date will definitely be lucky. " I said.
"I don't know, if you say so." she blushed.
"So, you haven't had a first kiss? " I asked her. Why did I ask that? I'm so stupid. She's definitely gonna walk out now.
"Hey, it's okay. As a Directioner, I know almost everything about you. So you could know about me too. To answer your question, no I haven't had one, and I want it to be special. I always wonder how it would be weird coz it'll be my first kiss, but of course not the guy's and what if he's super tall? " she laughed.
Before I could say anything, the waiter came with the bill. She told me that she'd pay, but of course I didn't allow her to do so.
We then left the cafe and sat in the car.
I first took her to Hyde Park and we walked there for sometime.
We then went to London Dungeon. We somehow got through the haunted house.
I then showed her around the London Opera House and the London's King Cross Railway station too.
We then went to Big Ben and also clicked a few pictures. A few fans spotted us but just asked for an autograph or picture and I was very grateful.
It was going to be dusk now, and this was the part I was waiting for. The London Eye. London would look beautiful during the transition from day to night.
"C'mon. This is my favorite part! " I told her.
"Wow! London Eye! I can't wait to see the city from there! " she said excitedly!
She looked so happy.
We went inside and I couldn't wait to see her reaction.
"Wow! Harry! This is so beautiful! The city looks so beautiful and sparkly in those lights! " she said.
"You like it? " I asked her.
"Harry! Are you stupid? I love it! " she said and I just chuckled.
We got out and she said, "Harry, that was one of the best experiences of my life! Thank you so much! " she said.
"There are 2 more things to do! C'mon!" I said excitedly.
She looked at me confused.
"C'mon!  I can't wait to show you!" I said.
"Okay, okay C'mon let's go! " she said.
"This is one of my favourite restaurants here. You'll get all types of food here. Even Indian. I know you may be missing home." I said as we sat in the restaurant.
"I don't know what to say, I don't know how to repay to all this you've done." She said.
"No need to that dear. Now, let's eat, okay? I'm so hungry. I've decided that today, I'll try Indian food with you. Okay? " I said.
"Okay, it's gonna be a bit spicy. " she said chuckling.
"Okay, I'm ready. " I said.
She then ordered Chicken Tandoori, Biryani and some other stuff. Well, it was a bit spicy, but it tasted really good.
"Thank you so much Harry, I had an amazing day. " she said. But there was one more thing left.
"No need to thank me, but, there's one more thing left. C'mon. " I said.
"This is the Tower Bridge." I told her.
"Woah. It's so beautiful." she said.
"You remember Midnight Memories music video? " I asked her.
"Of course Harry." she said.
"We were standing right there." I said to her.
"Wow! That's so cool!" she said.

We then drove back to her aunt's house and she played Midnight Memories on loop and said that it was the best song to hear while driving on the streets of London at midnight.
We then reached her home and she turned towards me and said,
"I don't know how to thank you Harry. Today... I mean... This is the best gift I've ever got... And.. It's not even my birthday." she said.
"Hey, I already said that you don't need to thank me." I told her.
"So, I'll get going, I'll see you soon, okay?" she said.
"Yeah, bye. Good night. " I said.
"Good Night. And thank you so much again." she said.
"No need to say Thankyou dear. Bye." I said.
"Bye" she said and walked towards her house.
I went home and expected the guys to be asleep. But as I entered the house, they bombarded me with questions. I told them everything and they said that she definitely likes me but just won't admit it fast. I just hope they're right, I'm ready to wait.
I then went to my bedroom and fell asleep almost immediately while thinking how amazing this day was.

Didi's POV

I still couldn't believe what Harry did today. I was so grateful. It was like, I always knew the Harry Styles from One Direction. But today, I got to know the real Harry Styles who was so much more genuine, fun and awesome than we thought. One question popped into my mind though, Was Mel right? Did he kinda like me? I don't know. But maybe he just looks at me as a good friend. Anyways, I was very sleepy now and decided to have a Skype chat with Mel, Nick and Sandy tomorrow. It's been a while since I spoke to them.
But for now, I was so happy. Today was such a great day, I thought.
I thought I should text Harry saying thank you to him before sleeping. I'm pretty sure he'd be asleep now, but he'll see my text in the morning.

Hey, I know I've said this so many times today, but, really, thank you so much Harry, for showing me around today. I really had a blast. It was such a great day for me. I owe you so much.
I don't know how to thank you. I know you may be sleeping now, lol. So Good Night. Didi xxx

I was so tired, but of course, I enjoyed a lot. I sent him the message and fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes.
