Valentine: The Birth of the Pheonix

Scene 4 "The Pleasant Ride"

In the dining room Destiny sat on the left side of the long table while Tim sat on the right side and Adan sitting at the head of the table. Destiny looked at the neatly decorated table. The table was covered with candle holders, flowers, and two photos of Mr. and Miss. Valentine at two separate seats at the opposite end of the table. Tim prayed in a whisper with his head down while Destiny looked at Adan.

Destiny Style- "So Adan, what's for dinner?"

Tim Code- (Looks up at her) "Food."

Mr. Chestnut came in with a cart of food covered with silver and gold lids.

Adan Valentine- (Calmly) "Deez nuts."

Mr. Chestnut began speaking with a calm trustworthy voice.

Mr. Chestnut- "We're having a lobster dish with asparagus and Mashed potatoes. (Looks at Destiny) and a choice of wine. We have white and red."

Adan Valentine- (Looking at Destiny) "They're all very old so please choose correctly. (A long subtle silence fills the room) I'm just kidding choose whatever we can buy more later."

Destiny Style- (Looks back at Mr. Chestnut) "Um... red please."

Mr. Chestnut- "Exilant choice."

Mr. Chestnut pours a glass of wine in Destiny's glass then walks over to Tim's seat and pours wine into his glass. Mr. Chestnut pours wine in Adan's glass.

Adan Valentine- (While Mr. Chestnut walks back to the cart) "Mr. Chestnut, why don't you join us? Please."

Mr. Chestnut looks at Adan then nods in understanding, he walks to the chair next to Destiny and sits down. Mr. Chestnut opens a napkin and places it on his lap then begins eating.

{Micro-labs}

Inside an office, a man sits at his desk. His room was full of filing cabinets and a few photos of Babe Ruth on the walls. A bright orange hole opened on the ceiling in his room. The man looks up only to see a tall man in an orange and black striped suit standing and staring at him.

Man- (Standing up) "Who are you? Wait I know you, you're that Adan Heartbreak guy. Aren't you?"

Adan Heartbreak- (In a demonic voice) "Indeed."

Man- (Walks around his desk nervously) "You killed my wife in the science labs... What do you want with me?"

Adan Heartbreak- "I want you to find your boss Mr. Valentine and kill him for me."

Man- "Why would I do that?"

Adan Heartbreak- (Looks the man in the eyes) "Because you work for me now."

The man's eyes turned orange. Heartbreak opens a hole in the ceiling and jumps through it. The hole closes behind him. The man sits back down at his desk looking at the wall ahead of him. He just sat there not moving, motionless.

{Valentine mansion}

Adan sits in his bed while watching the video on the tablet. Inside the car were Mr. and Miss. Valentine driving down the dark road. After a moment a man seemed to come out of thin air and sit in the back seat. Adan watched on with a tear streaming down his face. The man switched seats without moving, after the second switch Mr. Valentine vanished and the man was driving. Miss. Valentine looked at the man in horror then vanished along with the man. The car crashed into something as the video stops. Destiny walks up to the foot of Adan's bed as he drops the tablet on his lap, Adan doesn't notice her.

Destiny Style- "Are you alright?"

Adan Valentine- (Jumps a little) "Yeah. I just can't help but feel like this was my fault."
