Valentine: The Birth of the Pheonix

Scene 8 "The Demon prevails"

At the police department Adan sits at a metal table with his head dangling, he was handcuffed to the table. In the room behind the glass A.L.I.C.E. looks on as the red and black color reappears, two officers, walk in and see this and slowly walk back out closing the door behind them. In the room, Adan jerks his head up while looking at an officer. The detective had a scuffle beard and soulless eyes, the officer just looked at him for a moment.

Adan Valentine- "Why am I here? (The detective stares at him) Come on man, let me out of here."

The detective leans forward and places a file on the table. The file opens showing Adan in Micro-labs destroying the building.

Adan Valentine- "When were these taken?"

Detective Carter- "My name is detective Carter. This morning. Care to explain why you're destroying your lab?"

Adan Valentine- "That's not me, I haven't been there since last night checking on my little gadgets."

Detective Carter- "Gadgets?"

Adan Valentine- "Yes my gadgets like the one I had with me earlier. (looks around the room) wait where is my suit?"

Detective Carter- "You mean the metal lady you came with?"

Adan Valentine- "Yeah her."

The door opens as an officer walks in with A.L.I.C.E. behind him. Adan tries to stand up only to be pulled back down by the handcuffs. He looks back at officer Carter on the other side of the table.

Adan Valentine- "That's private property."

Detective Carter- "Yeah why's she private property? (leans towards the table) Because everyone here knows you're not married Mr. Valentine."

Adan looks at A.L.I.C.E., she nods at him. Adan looks back at Detective Carter.

Adan Valentine- "What do you want from me?"

Detective Carter- "We want to know why you were going crazy out in public."

Adan Valentine- "I... um."

Detective Carter- (Smirking) "Was it mommy and daddy issues?"

Adan Valentine- "You know what I'm not going to lie."

Detective Carter- "Tell us everything."

Adan Valentine- "You know that Nathan Jones kid that everyone keeps talking about? (Detective Carter nods calmly) Well like him I was given powers."

Detective Carter- (Chuckles) "Powers?"

Adan Valentine- "Yes, (Looks at A.L.I.C.E.) by her."

Detective Carter looks at A.L.I.C.E. and begins chuckling, he looks back at Adan.

Detective Carter- "Her? She's just a robot, how could she give you powers?"

A.L.I.C.E.- "Show him, Mr. Valentine."

Detective Carter- (Looks at A.L.I.C.E. then Adan) "Show me what?"

Adan looks at his hands that are cuffed to the table, everyone from behind the two-way glass and inside the room looks on in amazement as the handcuffs fall through Adan's hands and onto the table. Adan stretches his wrists as Detective Carter looks at him with wide eyes. Adan looks at A.L.I.C.E.

Adan Valentine- "Your turn."

Everyone looks on in worry at A.L.I.C.E. as the human-looking robot turns into an empty suit. A hologram turns on inside the suit fitting it. Detective Carter looks back at Adan.

Adan Valentine- "Now do you believe me?"

The door opens as an older looking man in a general suit, every officer stands up and salutes the man.
