Valentine: The Birth of the Pheonix

Scene 14 "The Birth of the Phoenix"

{On the street}

Adan's body begins to lift off of the ground as a cocoon of fire, water, and rock begin to form around him. Heartbreak looks on as the wind picks up and blows him back a little. The cocoon explodes open as Adan floats in mid-air with a fiery tail and wings behind him. His shadow formed into a bird, his eyes set fire and he breathed blue flames. He screams with a loud cawing noise mixed with it as an electric shock shoots off of him causing a blackout, the only thing visible was the wings and tail made of flame. Adan drops to the ground and begins walking to Heartbreak, who grew claws. Heartbreak began trying to hit Adan only to bend the claws, every step Adan took had a flame on it. Heartbreak goes running only for his suit to stop moving and ejected him to the ground. The suit turned and stood still, Adan walked past it and picked up heartbreak who tried to open a hole only to fail. Adan stares at Heartbreak with a vengeance and opened a hole that was black, and fiery red. Adan squeezed Heartbreak's throat and threw him into the hole, the hole closes behind him as Adan turned around. Adan stopped only to see Cara, Carter and an army of Valentine's staring at him.

Cara- "What the hell was that?"

78 thD Valentine- "It can't be."

56 thD Valentine- "I'll be."

All of the Valentine's begin to bow along with the empty suit. Adan looks around with wonder as a Valentine pulls Carter and Cara to a bowing stance.

Adan Valentine- "What's going on? Why are you all bowing?"

4D Valentine- (Looks up at Adan) "It's called the power of the Phoenix, Only the most powerful of us Valentine's can hold it."

9D Valentine- "It means you're a god Mr. Valentine."

Everyone stands up and congratulates Adan then starts to head back to their dimensions one by one. A.L.I.C.E. opens up and lets Adan walk out, on his arm where cuts along with some splinters of wood and metal. His other arm was bruised. Adan bends over in pain on his arm as a brand begins forming a Phoenix with a V behind it.

Carter- "We should get you to a hospital... Phoenix."

Adan looks over at the empty suit and sees 84th D Valentine with a blue and sky blue striped suit on. Adan walked over to him.

Adan Valentine- "What are you going to do with it?"

84 thD Valentine- "I'm going to scrap it."

The suit backs up and covers its face with its hands.

Adan Valentine- "Why don't I take it off of your hands?"

84 thD Valentine- "I'll give it to ya as long as you don't plan on blowing up the world with it."

84th D Valentine smiles then opens a hole and jumps through it. Cara comes up behind Adan and hugs him with joy.

Cara- "Does this mean we'll be working together? Because I kinda want to keep doing this crime fighting thing."

Adan Valentine- (Turning to look at Cara) "Um..."

Carter- "Definitely not. Your mom's already pissed about you getting superpowers."

Cara and Carter begin to walk away as Adan stops them.

Adan Valentine- "Hey? (Carter and Cara look at Adan) do you guys need a ride home? I'll have A.L.I.C.E. call you a ride."

Carter- "We'll be fine."

Adan Valentine- "Okay well stop by my house when you feel like it alright?"

Carter- "We'll think about it."

Cara- "Bye Mr. Valentine."

Adan Valentine- "Please call me Adan."

Cara- "Bye Adan."

Adan turns around and looks at the empty suit.

Adan Valentine- "I know what I can do with you."

A.L.I.C.E. walks up to Adan and wraps around him, he opens a hole in the ground. The suit drops through it along with Adan, it closes.

Two weeks later at Valentine manor, Adan polishes A.L.I.C.E. He looks around a circular room full of other suits like A.L.I.C.E. that where all different colored. Adan turns A.L.I.C.E. around and plugs in a cord to her back then steps back, a crane arm lowers and gabs A.L.I.C.E. and pulls her into a glass container then the containers begin to rotate then lock into place. Adan tosses the rag onto a workbench then grabs his jacket and heads to the door, he pauses for a moment and looks in the workshop. He smiles a bit then shuts the lights off and walks away as a door closes behind him. In the garage Adan opens the driver side of a car and enters it starting the engine, the garage door opens and Adan begins driving. At White Waters nursing home, Adan walks up to an old lady in a wheelchair and bends onto his knee and looks at the lady who was staring off at a television.

Adan Valentine- (Softly) "Miss. Code?"

The lady looks at Adan.

Adan Valentine- (Pulls out the medal from his pocket) "I have some bad news for you."

Miss. Code- "I already know Adan."

Adan Valentine- "You do?"

Miss. Code- "Tim already told me."

Adan Valentine- "Miss Code, Tim passed away two days ago."

Miss. Code- (Looks at the blank television) "I know, he told me himself."

Adan looks at her realizing that she was OK with it. He places the medal on her lap and begins to walk away only to be stopped by Miss. Code.

Miss. Code- "He wants you to have it son. (Adan looks at her) He told me that he wants you to have his medal, as a memory."

She lifts the medal up at Adan, he took it softly and looked at the television.

Adan Valentine- "Goodbye my friend."

Adan walks away and out the door to his car, he sits in it and places his head on the wheel.

Adan Valentine- "You would have loved seeing me, kickass pal. (Looks out the windshield) Rest in peace old friend."

Adan starts his car and begins driving out of the parking lot. Adan drives down the highway as the sun begins to fall behind the ocean.

Adan Valentine- (To reader) "I told you that my story was a little crazy, but in the end, I figured out that trusting new people and hard work helps save the day. You probably weren't expecting that from a twenty-one-year-old boy from New York now, would you? Until next time this is Valentine signing off."
