My mum still didn’t approve of Cole at all, that didn’t stop him from coming over more often than I ever thought he would. Apparently he was rather fond of me, as I found out every time Josh texted me whenever Cole was over.
To say that Josh was jealous was beyond an understatement. But at the same time, he never asked me out, but then again I’d rejected him countless times, but kissed him a few too. Goodness we were complicated. No wonder we weren’t together.
Luke and Kate were continuously on again, off again. Josh managed to wade around the topic of relationships and why he wasn’t in one whenever it was brought up. But we remained friends, no matter how awkward it became. That’s what I found so intriguing; that we still hung out after school, still had Friday night movie night and still went out for ice cream when one of us had had a bad day.
Cole and I were wavering though. I would always enjoy his company when he came around and hung out with me. We always found something to do: homework, movie, cooking, making out. But Josh always made sure to text while Cole was over. It was aggravating and protective of him to do that and I wasn’t happy with it.
Not that I could just go around and tell him that though. Sure, we were ...friends, but that didn’t give me the right to beat him up about making sure I was careful, which is what I was sure he’d say to me if I confronted him about.
Careful? Yeah right Mr. Jealous.
