"So how was your talk with Adelaide?" Ashton asked jumping on his bed.

"Oh, uhm, fine?" I said making it sound more like a question. "Why do you ask?"

"Did she tell you?" He asked completely ignoring my previous question.

"Tell me what?" I asked back. Adelaide had said that nobody else besides Natalie knew about that.

"The whole thing with her parents and Josh", he shivered. "It's disgusting... What they're making her do I mean, and Josh too. He's also disgusting".

"You know about it?" I asked confused. Why the hell did Ashton know too?

"Yeah, we all know. I mean, Michael knows, his girlfriend knows, I know", he shrugged.

"And how'd you guys find out?" I asked trying to hide my anger, or whatever I was feeling.

"Natalie", we said at the same time.

"She doesn't have a filter", Ashton sighed.

"That fucking girl", I muttered and Ashton blinked. I hated that girl more and more every day, why the hell did she tell them? It had nothing to do with her, and I'm pretty sure Adelaide didn't want them to know.

"We don't talk about it, though", Ash continued. "But we do think she needs someone to talk to, someone besides Natalie I mean".

"Aren't you guys her friends?" I asked. I didn't understand why they hadn't tried to help her if they already knew.

"We are, but she doesn't trust us that much. She hasn't told us, so we can't interfere just yet. That's why we sent you", he smiled.

I was absolutely confused at this point. "What do you mean you sent me?"

"I was at Michael's for the last hour or so. We knew she was gonna be there, her porch is like her favorite spot", he shrugged. "And it worked, she talked to you".

"So you had it all planned", I said. I was a little mad at them for getting me in all of this, but I was also kinda glad they did, at least I was being useful.

"Yeah, sort of", he chuckled.

"Huh", was all I said.

"Right. So, should we start with this thing?" He grinned.

After I finished helping Ashton with his essay - or most likely doing it for him - I went home and found Luke sleeping on my bed, I hit him with the closest pillow I found and threw myself on the bed landing next to him.

"Couldn't you wake me up more gently?" Luke groaned.

"Nope", I patted his back. "That's the cost of showing up at my house without calling first and falling asleep on my bed", I mumbled, my face pressed against the mattress.

"I just saw Adelaide on my way here", he said.

"I saw her too", I replied.

"Yeah, she told me", Luke smiled. "She really likes you, you know?"

"Why are you saying that?" I asked sitting up on the bed. I tried to act as cool as I could, but Luke knew me too well.

"Aw, little Cal is excited about a girl liking him", he cooed, pinching my cheek. "She talked a lot about you while we were doing our English paper", he shrugged. "We even thought about writing about what it was like having a friend like you", Luke huffed, covering his mouth with one hand, batting his eyelashes at me.

I hit him again with the pillow making him burst out laughing.

"You're getting friendzoned, Calum", he shook his head with a disapproving look.

"I know. And it's your fault", I laughed.

"I know", he grinned. "But you're still stupidly happy about it. You're obsessed with her. And the fact that she's talking to you has you smiling all day".

"I'm not obsessed with her", I scoffed, but I could feel my face going red.

"Would you prefer it if I said that you're in love with her?" Luke raised and eyebrow.

"No", I said quickly.

"That's what I thought. Obsessed sounds better than in love", he nodded.

"No, it doesn't. And both are incorrect. I just like", I shrugged.

"A lot", Luke added. "A lot lot."

"Maybe. But that's it, I just wanna be her friend", I insisted.

"Bullshit. You're obviously falling for her, Calum!" Luke whined.

"You just said I was getting friendzoned, and it's true!" I countered.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean that you're not falling for her", he softly punched the bed a few times like a little kid.

"Luke, I'm not falling for her", I grumbled. "I swear".

"You know it's a sin to swear when you're lying, right?" He frowned. "God, and I thought you were a good person... I guess I was wrong", he sighed loudly.

"Lucas, what's your point here?" I rolled my eyes.

"I don't know." He laughed. "But, you know what? You should write about her".

"Oh yeah, of course, so she thinks I'm absolutely crazy about her", I glared at him.

He snorted. "Aren't you?"

"I'm not writing about her", I stated.

"You don't have to say her name", Luke shrugged. "You can just write down what you feel about her, or something like that. I'm not saying you should write a poem titled 'Ode to Adelaide'", He sighed frustrated.

"Dear Diary", I started. "I met a girl. We fucked. We found out we were classmates. She's got a boyfriend. He's a dick. But I'm fucked anyways because-"

Luke hit me with a pillow now. "That's not what I meant!" He whined. "I just thought it'd be good writing material," he shrugged.

"Writing material? What, now you're some sort of songwriter or something?" I chuckled.

"You know what? Do whatever you want Calum", Luke stood up from the bed, clearly angry at me.

"Okay, I'm sorry", I laughed and he sent me a glare. "I'll think about it", I said just to make him stop talking about it.

"Of course you will", he rolled his eyes.
