"PATRICK!"
"What?"
Patrick turned around. Someone was calling him. He was standing in a poorly lit corridor. He started running. No matter how long he kept running, the corridor just wouldn't end.
"PATRICK!"
Patrick stopped. The voice was way more quiet than before. Did he run past?
"Worthless piece of shit." someone said behind him. Before he got the chance to check who it was, someone put their hand over his mouth. He could feel them breathing against his ear before he lost consciousness.
"Worthless. That's what you are."
---------------
"Ouch! Dang it!" Patrick sat straight up in his bed and rubbed his head. Another nightmare that caused him to bump into the shelf above him. It was the middle of the night. The moon shined through the tiny window and gave the small cabin a comfortable atmosphere. Patrick sighed and got out of bed. He climbed on deck and got embraced by an ice cold breeze. But the cold sea air would help him to stay awake so it was okay. The sky was clear tonight and you could even see shooting stars. But Patrick didn't know what to wish for. He didn't even know how long he's already been on this boat on the middle of the ocean. He just hoped he wouldn't be alone forever. He didn't like to be surrounded by a lot of people, but he didn't want to die of loneliness either.

Going back to sleep was impossible. Too many thoughts were floating in his head. So he grabbed his binoculars and sat down on the carousel horse that was standing next to the railing. Watching the stars would calm him down. The cold soon didn't bother him anymore.

What a beautiful night.
