CHAPTER 20
ANGELA'S P.O.V
"What the hell is going on here?" he asked anger clearly on his voice.
"Uh, uh, n-nothing honey. He uh just -" but I was cut off mid sentence.
"We were just talking about our project here. Right Angela?" he asked me giving me the 'agree-with-me-or-I'll-tell-him-the-truth' look.
"Yeah, we were just talking about the project. Remember?" I said not looking at him in the eye.
By the way he looks at the both of us says that he didn't bought the lie.
"Then what were you two doing back their? Angela, I thought you said that you were going to the library? "
"Right I did, but uhm i-i-it was closed so uh we decided to-"
"Use the back building to do a project? RIght! Are you done? Dinner's almost ready at home, mom's probably waiting." he said while turning his heels the other way and walked away without even waiting for me. Shit! He's mad.
He walked so fast that I had to ran after him. We got to the car and he pulled out from the school parking lot. An awkward silence remained in the car.
"Are you mad at me?" asking the most obvious question.
"Is there a reason that I should be? I mean you said that you two were doing your project, right?"
"In the back of the school building."he added.
Really? He had the audacity to be mad at me when clearly he was the one that lied in the first place of us being engaged. I started fuming, I can't believe this.
Another moment of awkward silence filled the car.
"Well if you so think yourself that I'm lying to you-"
"I didn't say you're lying to me. Don't put words into my mouth Angela!" he yelled.
"Really? For a moment I thought that's what you meant, because clearly that's what you're trying to imply." I yelled back.
I sighed sounding defeated.
"Just tell me Angela that you're not cheating on me. That's all I want to know! Because if you are, then I will give you your freedom. If you're getting bored with me just let me know, I don't want to look stupid infront of everyone."
"Brandon, why would I do that to you? Do you really think that low of me? After everything you've done for me? I can't do that to you. There's a ring on my finger, isn't that enough to scare these guys away?"
"You're right! I'm sorry for overreacting." he said apologizing.
I don't know but the sound of him so jealous just brought a huge smile to my face. Knowing that he could be that possessive of me made me feel extra special.
BRANDON'S P.O.V.
I know I shouldn't be overreacting like this but I know in me that something isn't right. Like she's hiding something from me. I know that she knew that the library was closed. I mean who talks about their school project in the back of the school building? Student do everything else back their other than a school project. I mean, I used to be friends with James and I know exactly how his mind works.
After a few minutes I pulled up on our driveway and then parked the car. I went to the other side to help her out.
When we got inside the house, I told her to go ahead and get cleaned up before dinner. She went upstairs while I go to the kitchen.
"Hi honey! So did you pick her up?" my mom asked
"Yeah!" I sighed
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know mom. All I know is I feel like Angela's hiding something from me. I just have this gutt feeling."
"Why don't you talk to her about it?"
"She won't tell me. I'll be upstairs in my room if you need me." I said.
I went in my room and sat on the bed waiting for Angela to be done in the shower. A minute later, I heard a beeping noise.
I looked at my phone and noticed that it wasn't my phone. Then it beeped again. I tried to listen to the sound following it suit. When I finally found it I noticed that it was from Angela's phone.
I saw that she had three text messages. I didn't want to pry but something's telling me to read it so I did.
J: Angela, what did Brandon said? Did he bought the lie?
I knew it they lying. I then opened the next message.
J: Why aren't you answering my text?
Then, when I opened the last message I completely froze.
J: If you don't answer my text I will tell your so-called fiancee about regaining your memory
