CHAPTER 19

After the final bell rang, I gathered my stuff and made my way towards the back of the building to meet up with James.

When I got their I saw him standing by the wall playing with his phone.

"Hey!" I greeted

"You know you're such a good actress Angela?"

"What? What are you talking about?"

"You know damn well what I'm talking about. I actually underestimated you, I didn't know you can pull such an act, a good one if I may say so myself."

"Whatever happened to me a month ago was not an act! Whether you believe me or not, it really did happened. " I hissed

"Sure it did. So anyway, how's our deal going? I see you're making progress. I'm telling you, you got that boy so whipped. He does anything you say, he's like your own puppet."

"Whatever! I'm here to tell you that the deal is off. There's basically no point of doing this since everyone practically know what happened to me." I explained.

"Are you sure about that? But I bet you anything he doesn't know that you've got your memory back?"he asked.

I opened my mouth to say something but I quickly closed it not really knowing what to say.

"Ah! So he really doesn't know. I've just got myself another ticket to victory here! You're right, scratch that first deal because this one's even better than the first. I wonder, what he's going to do when he finds out that you've been lying to him this whole time?" he asked while giving me a devilish smile.

Oh Shit! I'm trapped, AGAIN!

BRANDON'S P.O.V.

After school, I went straight home since and did my homework since I won't have to pick Angela up from the library for another two hours.

I'm a little suspicious about her staying after school, I mean we're on the same grade and I haven't heard about any sort of project. I quickly brushed off the thought and focused on finishing my homework.

Urgh! This is hopeless, I don't know why but I have this gutt feeling that something isn't right. Like soemthing's telling me that she didn't stay after school for a project, I'm just hoping that she's not hiding anything from me. After all, I've done anything but lie to her.

I got up then grabbed my keys and went downstairs.

"Mom, I'll be back to pick up Angela!" I yelled from the front door.

"I thought you won't have to pick her up in another two hours? Is she done with her project?" She asked.

"Yeah!" I lied. Well technically it's half the truth since I am picking her up.

I drove for about 10 minutes then when I arrived at school, I parked my car on the empty parking space and got out. I went at the library but when I tried to open up the door it wouldn't open. I tried again for the second time but no such luck. I put my face closer to the glass door and peaked inside to see if there's anyone there, but to my surprise the library was empty.

I saw a school staff walked out of the science building and I quickly approched her.

"Excuse me, do you know why the library is closed?" I asked her

"Oh yeah, all the school staff had a meeting right after school. The library has been since right after school and probably won't open up again until tomorrow. Did you need to borrow a book?"

Okay, something's definitely right. Angela said she'll be at the library which clearly now to me that she lied. Now, where could she be?

"Uhm no it's okay I think I'll just do it tomorrow morning. But do you happen to know if there's any students left inside the building?" I asked

"Not that I-" but after the first few words I completely blocked her because who I  saw coming from the back of the school building completely took me by surprise. Angela and James. Together.
