Chapter 7:
Taylor’s POV:
“Okay like seriously we have to get back to work.” I told Hayley trying to calm my laughter. She pouted her mouth and then proceeded to climb off my lap.
“Fine.” She stuck her tongue out at me. “I will attempt to write songs with you kid, but I’m telling you.” She looked down at the floor. “I’m all dried out.”
A small smile tugged on my lips. “No babe,” I scooted closer to her. “We just hit a bump in the road. No need to get down on yourself. It happens to the best of us.”
She looked up at me taking my hand in hers. “I love you Taylor York.” I just chuckled at her.
“I know.” She placed a kiss on my cheek leaving me blushing. This woman I swear has me wrapped around her finger and she knows this.
“Okay, back to writing songs.” She exhaled.
“Alright, alright.” I smiled down at her.
We spent the rest in the evening in the music room attempting to come up with anything at this point. We had been writing and recording whatever we can for the past three weeks now. Things had been coming up roses until we couldn’t come up with anything we loved. For some reasons songs that we write haven’t made us completely happy. There are verses and melodies here and there scattered around the room, but nothing else was bringing out inspiration in any of us.
Hayley was sitting on the floor next to the sofa inside our music room. I was on the sofa looking over her shoulder reading the lyrics she had come up with. Many scribbles and side notes were scattered about the page.
She looked up at me and smiled. A frustrated look on her face and I couldn’t resist. I crashed my lips to her bringer her up to me. We ended up spending the rest of our ‘writing time’ making love to each other on the couch.
Such times leave me wondering if we can get anything done given the fact that we can’t seem to keep our hands off each other.
“I’m going to take a quick shower.” I announced as I was pulling on my boxers.
“Sure thing honey.” I was beginning to pick up the rest of my clothes when I felt Hayley’s hand on my back.
“I got this. Just go.” I turned to see her standing there with my shirt over her underclothing. Her hair pulled into a messy ponytail. No makeup on. Her face shiny due to a new coat of sweat covering her whole body. This was my favorite look on her. When she is just all natural.
I pulled her into another kiss before she kicked me out of the music room.
I sighed climbing into the shower. Letting the warm water hit me relaxing my entire body. Lyrics rumbling around my brain when I heard the door slightly open.
I poked my head out seeing her standing there fixing her makeup.
“Going somewhere?” I asked also noticing that she was now wearing a sun dress and flats. Her hair fixed into a not so messy bun.
“Yeah.” She smiled through the mirror. “I remembered that I had so many lyrics already written in my journal.” She put her eye liner down on the counter turning to face me. “It’s just...” She paused looking down at her feet.
“It’s just what Hayley?” I turned the water off. Taking the towel from the rack and wrapped it around my waist. I walked up to her using my fingers to get her to look me in the eyes. But her eyes would not meet mine. “What is it?”
