Chapter 18:

Hayley’s POV:

“Almost ready. I promise.” I peeked my head through the door of the bathroom.

Taylor was impatiently waiting for me to finish getting dressed.

I hurried as best I could. Applying fake eyelashes, which I hate, and finally touches on my messy curls.

Sighing I decided that this was as best I could do without Brian.

“Alright done.” I walked out of his connecting bathroom. Slipping into small heels. And flattening my black dress.

Taylor looked up from his phone. “Beautiful.”
He made his way to me and pecked my lips.

I couldn’t help but blush like crazy.

“You don’t look so bad yourself.” I admired his grey suit. Which I might say, he looks incredibly delicious in.

I smirked at the thought.

“Can’t wait to see it on my bedroom floor.” I teased as I lightly smacked his ass.

Taylor turned with a sly smirk on his face. “Funny thing is,” He interlocked our fingers. “I’d let you do what you will with me.”
“Mmm... good to know.” I pressed my body to his.

For a minute we just stood in the middle of his bedroom admiring each other. Even though we were having a grand time in California, there was nothing like Tennessee. It was our home, and somehow we felt more relaxed around one another.

We surrounded ourselves with the people that mean the most to us. And it seems to bring out the best in us.

More barriers were slowly being torn down with each passing moment.

Taylor and I drove to one of his friend’s house.

I knew them from the times they’ve come out to shows and stuff, but not like he does.

Taylor knows so many people, it get very hard to keep track.

We ended up arriving at his friend’s backyard Wedding.

Justin, Jana, Nat, Jon, Jeremy, and Kat were already sitting in those fold up plastic chairs.

We quietly crept in and took our seats next to the few people I actually knew.

Kat and Nat turned and waved to me. Jana turned and smiled. Jeremy turned his head in fake disappointment. And I grinned apologetically.

“Sorry.” I mouthed.

But we made it just in time to see the ceremony from start to finish. Luckily.

Then the party began.

Taylor asked if I could be the designated driver and I couldn’t say no that cute face.

So it was a dry night for me. Which I was fine with. As long as I could see my handsome have the time of his life. And by the looks of it, we both needed a night like this.

Next time he will be DD. I bit my lip. Getting a funny look from Kat.

“I really do not want to know what is going through your mind.” She bumped her elbow with mine. A laugh escaped my lips.

“No, nothing like that. You perv.” She laughed. “I was just thinking about how next time, I’m getting drunk, and he will be left to drive.”

I rose my water bottle up at the girls.

They all laughed at my action.

“Well at least you two are out in public.” Jana joked.
