What Happened

It all started after I dropped out of college, which, now that I think about it, makes no sense, since I had always wanted to go. But, life happened and things got a little too crazy for me. Anyway, after dropping out, I moved into the apartment I now own. Shortly after moving in, I decided that it was time for a change. Better go big or go home, I thought to myself as I walked into the hair salon and got my hair dyed purple.

One day, as I was taking my daily stroll through the nearby park, I thought, I need to get myself a job. Maybe Mrs. Green might need some help at the hair salon. Mrs. Green was the owner of the hair salon I went to the day I got my hair dyed purple, and the other 20 million times I dyed my hair crazy colors.

As time went on, the two of us became fast friends, so I figured I'd ask if I could work at the salon since no one else worked there. I asked, and Mrs. Green was beyond thrilled to have the extra help. That week, she taught me everything she knew, and how the place ran. A while later, I decided that I needed another job, so that I had a stable amount of income, since the money I earned at the hair salon was based on the number of customers per day, and since people hardly ever came by, I barely made any money. As a result, I began working at the coffee shop across the street, as well. One day, at the hair salon, Mrs. Green wanted asked to talk to me.

"I've decided that it's time for me to retire," she said.

"Okay, but who's going to be running this place?" I asked.

"I was thinking about leaving this place for you," she suggested.

" I'd love to," I replied shocked at her response, I mean after all this was me we were talking about, I barely got my bills paid on time, and hardly ever went a day without almost getting fired for doing something stupid, like running late... again.

"Well, then it's settled, now you are the owner of this place," she finished the conversation with.
