Two Months Later...

Eliza:

It was now Christmas and I was feeling great. No Sam didn't put a magic spell on me to cause this change, what he did that night gave me a new angle. I could at least say I liked myself more than I did six months ago. This helped me open up more to Sam because I was more comfortable in my own skin. I didn't feel like I had to put on an act for everything to be okay. Doing my thing and being happy was enough. Before you ask, yes I did go back to my place after the whole pest control thing and have been doing a lot better job at tidying up, courtesy of Sam. I sat in my room, getting ready for tonight.

Tonight, I was going over to Sam and Mrs.Green's for dinner. It wasn't anything formal or fancy, but it was Christmas eve so I thought I'd at least try and look like an actual human being. Once I got ready, I went over for dinner.

After we ate, we exchanged presents. Thankfully they liked what I got them. I've never been good with gift giving. As I was about to go to the guest room to get changed, Sam stopped me.

"Eliza wait."

"What?"

He got down on one knee and pulled out a small box holding an elegantly simple ring in it.

"I've loved you since that day I came init the salon and you started rambling on about penguins in Brazil. From the day I met you I knew you were something special. I love you so much, words can't even express it. So, Eliza Rosewood, will you marry me?"

"Yes. I love you too," I spoke as he placed the ring on my ridiculously skinny finger and engulfed me in a hug.

"Finally!" Mrs.Green exclaimed, "It's about time you two gave me grandchildren."

"Mom! Mrs.Green!" We exclaimed at the same time.

"What?"

We rolled our eyes at that and just enjoyed our moment together.
