~~~Dream~~~
I was walking through a field, it was so peaceful. Then someone asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo. I politely declined the offer and enjoyed the view. Then out of nowhere, my mom appeared.
"Hey mommy what are you doing here? Why'd you leave me?"
"I'm sorry sweetie, you know that was never my intention. Now let's go have some fun."
"Okay."
And with that, the two of us did every fun thing imaginable, from going to the park and talking, to going out to a movie. As the night came to an end, her facial expression changed from happy to serious. She turned around and faced me, before saying:
"I'm sorry sweetie, but I have to leave now. You go on and be happy."
"But mom I am happy with you."
"I know sweetie but you know I can't stay. Goodbye."
"No mommy don't leave me. No!"
And with that, I was six all over again. Walking into the bathroom, finding that note along with her lifeless body all over again. "Eliza. Wake up." With that horrifying memory, I woke up.
Once I woke up, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, reminding me that Sam was still here.
As I looked up, I was met with a pair of worried green eyes, belonging to Sam.
"I dreamt she was still here," I spoke before he could ask what it was about.
"I know. It'll be okay."
"It felt so real. And then.... and then she... sh..e was gone and it was like I was six all over again." I spoke, letting the tears flow.
"Hey, you're okay. Everything's going to be okay. Relax you're safe. I'm not going anywhere, Liza. Like it or not, you're stuck with me."
I let out out a small giggle at his little speech and just lay there in his hold, soon falling asleep.
=== 2 Hours Later===
"Eliza... Eliza, wake up," I heard a familiar voice speak. Ignoring it, I continued enjoying my sleep, not wanting to be bothered to eat.
"Eliza time to get up. You gotta eat something," Sam spoke again
"Hmmph... No, leave me alone," I mumbled, getting more comfortable.
"Eliza Rosewood, don't make me dump water on you again." How dare he bring that up. Okay. That's it, guess we're getting up now.
With that, I got up, looked him dead in the eye, "Do it. I dare you Sam Green," I said sounding threatening.
"On second thought, I think I lost the bucket," he said, fear evident in his voice.
"That's what I thought," I replied.
"So what's up?" I asked, sitting upright on the bed.
"Come on we gotta eat you haven't eaten all day," he said, dragging me over to the kitchen.
"But I'm not hungry," I whined, not really wanting to be bothered with food today.
"I know you're not but you still need to eat."
"No, I don't. I'm an adult. I know how to handle myself," I spoke, trying to sound as adult-like as possible before stomping my foot on the ground like a child.
