I was at the gym early in the morning, right after breakfast the next day. I found myself looking for a familiar face and because it is very rare that i do that, i blamed it on the stress.
Once i was finally tired out enough and satisfied with my daily routine, i walked out the double-doors of the gym and was greeted by a face i'd thought i'd never see again.
"Trevor?" I asked, completely in shock.
"Ame!" He greeted me kindly. "I'd thought you were long gone from my life but it seems fate has pulled us back together!"
Disclaimer: I met Trevor in my junior year of high school back in Florida during a party. We had one night together but before he could wake up, i'd left silently and avoided him for the rest of high school. Trevor was a helpless romantic, believing whoever he hooked up with or dated was the one. He was also not very intelligent and still believed the earth was flat and if he swam far enough into the sea, he would fall off the face of the earth. As you can imagine, he was not my type and nothing more than a one night stand.
"Ame, earth to Ame!" He waved his hand in front of me. "You good?"
I nodded my head, "Yes i'm fine, i was just thinking of someone I regret ever meeting."
He laughed, "I was wondering if you want to go get a coffee?"
"Not right now, i need to get to practice, Trevor." I replied.
"C'mon Ame, one quick date wouldn't hurt." He pleaded. "Please?"
I shook my head, "Sorry, but i'm not interested on going on a date with anyone at anytime, my career is my main focus and always will be." I told him. "Bye, Trevor, have fun with your family."
I walked away, bothered about Trevor and his intentions.
-After Practice-
I went to the front desk where Lydia worked. She was the person who i had to sign out with after practice. "Hey Lydia, where do i sign out?" I asked since i didn't see the sign out sheet.
"I got you but you might want to deal with that paparazzi out there." She pointed out the door.
I looked over, seeing a wave of paparazzis and fans holding signs saying 'quit swimming lair!' and 'not the best swimmer anymore'. I went out and i was greeted with hate words. I got up on a rock and shouted, "What's going on?!"
A little girl came up to me and looked at me in the eye, "I used to look up to you before you ruined your friend's career!"
"What do you mean ruined and who's?" I asked.
Her mother came and grabbed her, "I can't believe my daughter looked up to someone like you." She told me and took her daughter away from me.
I had no idea what she was talking about who's career did i ruin?
I turned to the one person i could trust, Liam.
So, i reached for my cellphone.
"Hey Amethyst, is everything okay?" He answered.
"I think i ruined someone's career."
