Before you read,

I want to dedicate this chapter to Sky also known as Skateboarddolans on Instagram. She sadly killed herself yesterday due to cyberbullying. I didn't know her but she sounded amazing, The dolan community and everyone else will greatly miss her.

Rest easy, Sky.

I hope that wherever you are, you are finally happy.

Today, i was determined to solve the mystery of who got me unsuspended. Liam was off the board since he confirmed it himself that he, in fact did not do the deed.

"Hello?" The person i had called asked.

"Hey Alexia, it's me Amethyst." I said. "How have you been-"

"Oh, Amethyst, it's so lovely to hear your voice!" Alexia cut me off. "What can i do for you?"

"Actually yes, there is something you could do." I said. "Someone got me unsuspended from practice and-"

"Oh, what lovely news!" She exclaimed. "Who did?"

"Well you see, I have no idea who it is that did it." I explained to Alexia. "I was wondering if you would like to help me figure out who did."

"I would gladly do so, I'll ask around and let you know." She said. "This will be kind of difficult though 'cause whoever this is, does not want to be found."

I sighed, "Alexia, this is not a murder."

I could hear her searching for a pen and paper to write down her thoughts. "Well yes, but this person clearly wants you to win the Olympics and not Liam."

I nodded my head, "Maybe, but you should still help me figure out who did this."

A week later

I walked into the pool building, expecting a phone call from Alexia. She had messaged me the day before, saying that she knew exactly who unsuspended me and that she will call to tell me who.

Ring! Ring!

I picked up my cellphone quickly, "Alexia, who is it?"

"She's new in town and she happened to hear about your unfortunate suspension."

"I really don't care, who is it?" I asked.

Alexia sighed, "It's Elizabeth Rocks from BYU."

I stopped in my tracks. "Elizabeth Rocks?" I asked frantically. "She's the best swimmer in BYU, but what is she doing here at Stanford?"

"She got transferred."

"What?" I said. "No! She's big competition."

I hung up as i saw Elizabeth climb into the pool, her blonde hair swaying.

I walked up to her and didn't beat around the bush, "Why did you unsuspend me?"

She smiled. "Who me?"

"Don't play dumb, I know you did."

She held out her hand for me to shake it, "First of all, call me Beth." I shook her hand. "Second of all, I bailed you 'cause i want to make a deal with you."

"What deal?" I asked.

"I'll help you win that Olympic spot." She said.

"Aren't you competing for it?" I asked.

"I'll back out, so it's just you, Liam and other swimmers who suck at swimming." She paused. "On one condition, I can have Liam."

I was shocked but she continued, "He's not your man anyway and didn't you make it clear to him?"

"No, you can't date him if he doesn't want too." I pointed that out to her.

"If you don't want him, he's going to move on to the next girl." She said. "And i'll make sure that girl is me."

I almost wanted to slap her out of jealously but it was true, Liam wasn't mine, I couldn't lock him away from Elizabeth.  "I don't need your help, I can win on my own." I said. "Liam can date whoever he wants-he's not mine-so if he wants to date a stank like yourself, then that's his choice."

She splashed water in my eyes, "then i'll see you in that race" She said as i tried to wipe my eyes. When i could finally open my eyes again, she was swimming half way across the pool.
