Now we really have a mystery on our hands, not some play one.
The mystery of who was going to ruin me, Liam and Elizabeth.
Liam spent the night at my house and i had surprisingly waken up before him.
I took a shower and went downstairs to watch the news like my usual routine.
"Hello, My name is Alexia Adams and boy, do i have news for you!" The TV sounded. "The weather today will be a high of 84 and oh, what the hell? Let's get to the interesting part!"
"Good morning." Liam came down the stairs. "How did you sleep?"
I yawned, "Great, you know if you weren't hogging the bed up."
"Whatever." He laughed. "What's on the news?"
"Alexia is going to tell me the interesting news." I giggled. "Come sit."
I patted the couch and he came and sat next to me.
"Elizabeth Rocks has reportedly quit swimming." Alexia Adams said. "She will no longer have a scholarship for BYU or Stanford for swimming and must drop out."
Liam and I looked at each other.
"She was so determined to get a career in swimming, what made her change her mind?" I asked.
"Give me your phone." Liam demanded.
"What's wrong?" I asked as i handed it out toward him.
He paused the TV and put on the voice recorder.
"Who's voice does this sound like?" He asked once the recording was over.
"...Alexia?" I was confused.
"Exactly, plus Alexia works in the news." He paced back and forth. "She can spread any stories that she likes even if they are fake."
"I see what your saying but why would Alexia do that?" I asked. "What's her motive?"
"I have no idea, i really don't." Liam said. "But we should keep our distance from her."
I still had my doubts. Alexia would never do that. She has no reason, but Trevor does.
"What if it's Trevor?" I asked Liam.
"That's a good point." He nodded his head. "I'll find him."
"Last i heard, he's still in Cali." I told Liam. "But, i'm going with you."
"Very well, I'll go put on my clothes."
We eventually found Trevor at the outlet mall working as a cashier. We walked toward him, hand-in-hand.
"Amethyst, Liam?" Trevor jumped back in shock. "What are you doing here?"
I slammed my free hand on the cash register. "Are you working with Elizabeth Rocks to bring us down?"
Trevor laughed, "I wish, she's hot!"
"So, your not?" I asked.
"He's bluffing." Liam said in a angry tone.
"I swear i'm not." Trevor crossed his heart.
I sighed and turned toward the door, "Then i guess it's Alexia."
Trevor seemed confused. "What happened?"
Liam answered, "It's none of your damn buisness."
"Sorry Trevor, but we can't tell you until we figure this out." I apologized.
"We already figured it out, we just aren't telling him." Liam grabbed my hand and pulled us out of the store.
Back at my house, Liam started taking his duffle bag and putting it by the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I need to get to practice, the race is in 3 days and we aren't even supposed to be doing what we did."
"Your doing this again?!" I was frustrated. "Stop doing that!"
"What?" He raised his voice at me.
"Running away from me!" I yelled.
"I'm not running, i'm trying to win!" He yelled back.
"And i'm trying to not argue with you!" i cried. "We always end up yelling at each other cause you keep doing the same thing over and over again and trying to pretend like you never were mad at me a week later!"
He opened the door, "I just want to win here just like you, so even if it means not talking to you ever again...It's fine!" He yelled. "Your not the future of my career anyway."
I sobbed my heart out, all my problems out the drain.
"Fine then."
After three arguments already, i knew me and Liam were not compatible, we weren't healthy for each other. It was time to let go...
But it hurt so much.
