"What do you mean you ruined someone's career?" Liam asked me frantically.
"I have no idea." I said as i ran back into the building. "There is a mob of people here and all are furious 'cause apparently i ruined someone's career but i don't know who."
Liam cursed under his breath over the phone and i could tell he was too, frustrated. "Okay, okay well the media has better things to cover, it should be blown over by tomorrow morning." He sighed, "I'll help you during this if it gets worse, i need to go." He hung up.
I ran back home quickly, before anybody started cursing me again. I locked my door and slid to the ground and let all my emotions out. What could i have possibly done to someone?
The next morning, i woke up on the couch with the TV on surrounded by McDonald's wrappers. I rubbed my eyes and stretched half expecting everything to be okay.
"Good Morning California, I'm Alexia, your host!" The TV sounded. "Today we have Trevor Manson, the man who claims Amethyst Cooper- Stanford's best female swimmer- ruined his career." Trevor turned toward the audience and smiled with a evil look on his face.
I fell off the couch in horror and raced for my phone, tearing up. I frantically dialed Liam's number and tried to snort up my tears.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Go to channel 5 NOW!" I shouted at him.
"Okay, okay chill, Amethyst." I heard him search for the remote. "I'm turning on the TV, hold up."
"You said this would all blow over by tomorrow!" I choked back my tears.
"Hey, hey, hey, i said it might." He said. "Who the hell is Trevor Manson?"
"I saw him yesterday, he was a one night stand back in High school and he got mad when i rejected him yesterday."
"Are you kidding me?" Liam angrily asked me. "He's trying to get back at you for how you rejected him, I can't be-"
"Listen to what he's saying, i'm done for!" I said.
I turned up the volume. "Well you know, Amethyst wasn't always good at swimming...i was her high school trainer, i did it for extra credit thinking it would just cost me my time and not my career." Trevor said.
"What do you mean?" Asked Alexia.
"One day, she got so mad that i rejected her offer on a date that she pushed me and i ended up breaking my shoulder blade, and i can never swim again...You see Amethyst is a monster, she is not the all American girl that you think she is."
"We need to fix this." I cried, this time not trying to hide my tears.
"I'm here to help you, no matter what." He said. "Get dressed, i'm picking you up in 15 minutes and we are heading to the California News Studio and confront him in front of live TV."
