Liam picked me up before the 15 minute mark and i asked him if he was speeding but he insisted there was no traffic but i didn't buy it, he was red and sweaty.

We got to the studio fast due to his speeding and before he could even finish parking, he got out and slammed the door. I stepped out as well, "Liam, this is my fight." I grabbed my purse. "I should be the one angry not you."

"No, i won't let anyone mess with you without messing with me first." He muttered as he walked away.

I blushed, and don't get me wrong, i wanted to be with Liam but my career and the Olympics spot were what came first and i couldn't get love intertwined with my one chance of making it big. But, Liam could be an exception, right?

We got to the huge studio door labeled California News Studio but our plans were ruined by a security guard.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

I was about to answer but Liam stepped in front of me, "I'm Liam and i need to get into that studio now."

The guard shook his head. "I can't let you in, Alexia is interviewing somebody."

Liam pushed the guard and the guard pushed back and it ended up being a series of fists being thrown. I tried to pull the guard off of Liam but he was too heavy.

"Go!" Liam got one word out before the guard punched him again.

I ran through the unprotected door and ran until i saw Alexia sitting on a chair about to shake Trevor's hand goodbye.

"Stop please!" I shouted.

Trevor turned around, "Look everyone it's the monster!"

I walked past him and on to the front of the set, in front of the camera. I was about to say something but the guard tackled me, "Hey let go of me!" I shouted.

Liam walked in as well, full of blood and knocked the guard out with one last punch. He turned toward Trevor and grabbed him by the shoulder.

"ow, let go of me!" He cried. "Your hurting my damaged shoulder blade!"

"Shut the hell up, Trevor." Liam said.

I finally got up and walked toward them while Alexia was watching, shocked. "Hello everybody, my name is Amethyst Cooper; Stanford's best female swimmer and the person who did not break Trevor's shoulder blade."

"You see, the story is twisted around. Back in high school, Trevor tried to hurt me by trying to break my shoulder blade because i was better, luckily our principal was there and expelled him before he could even lay a hand on me, Trevor was a one night stand as well, and tried to ask me out on a date again just yesterday but i rejected him and he spread this horrible rumor as a way to get back at me."  I told the audience and everybody watching from their couch.

Trevor laughed, "Ame please, we all-" I slapped him and made him choke on his words.

"My name is not Ame, it is Amethyst and you no longer get to talk to me or lay a hand on me in a million years." I told him.

He laughed again, "I'm good-looking and i know it, the only reason you rejected me was because of Liam, we all know that you have a thing for Liam."

Liam let go of him and turned toward me questionably. I ignored it and turned toward Alexia.

"We are terribly sorry for ruining your show but we needed the public to know i am not the monster you think i am."

Alexia hugged me, "I never once doubted you!"

"Really, cause i recall you saying she was dead to you." Trevor smirked.

"No, i don't remember." Alexia played it off.

After fixing the mess, Liam and I got back into the car and sat there for a moment deep in thought.

"Was Trevor telling the truth, you know that you have a thing for me?" He asked breaking the ice. "You have to tell the truth, this is how you can repay me after this."

I hesitated, "I don't even know, I've had mixed feelings 'bout that." I paused, "I don't want us to get in the way of both our careers, plus I don't want to risk anything with the Olympic spot cause my coach called me while i was waiting for you to pick me up and i'm suspended from practice for a few days and i just, I don't know-"

He grabbed me and kissed me and before it went too far, I pushed him off. "We need to go, i'm sorry but could you drop me off at home?"

"Of course." He said.

We drove the rest of the ride silent.
