I was suspended from practice for 2 weeks. Liam didn't talk to me for the entire two weeks that i was suspended, but the first week, i got a call from my coach.
"Hey Amethyst, you can come back to practice early this week." He addressed.
"How come?" I asked curiously. "What made you change your mind?"
"A little bird convinced me otherwise." Coach said. "I have to go, i will see you soon."
I ran to Liam's dorm room and knocked on his door frantically.
"Open up Liam!" I yelled.
He opened the door and crossed his arms, "What?"
"I want to thank you for getting me unsuspended." I told him.
"That's why you were banging on my door?" He raised his eyebrows.
"That doesn't matter right now, i just wanted to say thank you." I paused. "By the way, maybe we should talk about what happened on Thursday, you haven't talked to me since."
"That was the plan." He stepped out in the hall with me and closed the door to his dorm. "Also, no we should not talk about that."
"You know we have too...at some point." I said.
"But not right now." He avoided the talk like a teenager avoiding the changes talk with their parents. "Like you said, at some point."
"Liam, if your ignoring me then why did you bail me out of suspension?" I asked curiously.
"About that, that wasn't me either." He told me.
"Then who could it be?" I asked him. "We have to find out."
"We?" He said. "You mean you."
"Aren't we a team?" I asked.
"Open your eyes, Amethyst." He spread out his arms, "We are supposed to be at each other's necks for that Olympic spot, and yet here we are!"
"What do you mean-"
He interrupted me, "Yet, here we are, falling in love!" He paced the floor then turned toward me. "I'd like to have it the way it's supposed to be!"
He slammed the door in my face and i heard the lock close. I understood where Liam was coming from and yet, it filled my head with wonder but those thoughts were covered by the wonder of who got me unsuspended?
