Dev reached home in a relaxed and jubilant mood. Ishwari was shocked to see her 'seedha-saadha' boy whistling away and twirling his car keys on his finger as he went up the stairs.

"Dev!" Ishwari called him from behind

Dev turned around and grinned, "yes mom? Koi important baat?" and continued to whistle joyfully.

"Tere liye kai naye rishte aaye hain, neeche aakar ladkiyon ki photos dekh le mere saath.....sab ki kundaliyan bhi match karti hain tere saath," she ordered.

Dev stopped whistling and looked at her, "iski koi zaroorat nahin hai mom......I know who I want to marry!" he turned around and ran to his room.

Ishwari was stunned; she had never seen such attitude from him, "zaroor kisi ne kaala jadoo kiya hai mere bete par," she followed him upstairs and barged into his room, 'Dev!"

Dev was rocking away to some music playing on his computer; he paused the music and gave her a stern look, "MOM! Can you please knock on my door before barging in? I'm not a schoolboy any longer!"

"Dev! Yeh kya pagalpan hai? Main teri maa hoon...tujhe janam diya hai maine....aur yeh gaana bajaana kyon ho raha hai is ghar mein?" Ishwari yelled

"Yes mom, aap meri maa hain, bhagwan nahin! I love music and I am good at it! If I live in this house, I should have some freedom to do what I enjoy!" he retorted back. Ishwari was really taken aback; she was sure someone was influencing her son in a negative way.

"Dev! Music se tere dimaag par bura asar padta hai, iss liye beta tujhe music se door rehna chaahiye," Ishwari tried to explain calmly.

"WRONG! Mom you are wrong! Since I have found out that I can sing so well and enjoy music, I feel much happier and relaxed....as if my life has completely changed....I am sorry mom, music is here to stay with me.....aur agar aapko pasand nahin hai, toh aap mat suniye," he said firmly.

Ishwari gnashed her teeth in anger and then asked, "who is responsible for this change in you?" she was fearful that Fareeda might be back in his life.

Dev smiled, "hai ek ladki mom.....I love her a lot...I want to marry her."

Ishwari was a little relieved that it was a girl, and not her old enemy, Fareeda, "kya naam hai uska?"

"Mom....you won't believe it.....yaad hai aapko Mr Bose ki beti, Sonakshi? Jis se pehle shaadi ki baat hui thi? Hamari KUNDALI bhi MATCH karti thi?" Dev emphasized on the matching of the horoscopes, "it is the same girl."

Ishwari was pleasantly surprised, "really? Tujhe kahan mili wo?"

"Sapno mein," he said dreamily and chuckled, "nahin mom...she works with me at the office....isn't it a coincidence?"

Ishwari was relieved now, "lagta hai kismat mein hi tha tum dono ka rishta.....theek hai   main aaj hi tere dad se baat karti hoon."

As Ishwari turned around to leave, Dev stopped her, "Mom.....remember bachpan mein meri ek dadi hoti thi?"

Ishwari stiffened at the mention of dadi, she lied, "dadi? Nahin toh...teri dadi toh meri shaadi se pehle hi guzar chuki thi."

"Nahin mom! Not dad's mother. Ek aur dadi.......she was an older lady who used to sing to me.....kahan hai wo? I want to meet her again," Dev held his mom with her shoulders.
