AT THE MING GARDEN CHINESE RESTAURANT:

Dev and Samaira were finally seated after waiting for an hour at the crowded restaurant.

"Looks like a popular place!" Samaira commented as they sat down.

"Most people in this country are crazy for anything non-Indian," Dev scoffed.

"That's not true sir! I love all Indian things," she gave him a mischievous look.

"Really? Lekin tum hamare traditions aur customs ki hamesha mazaak udaati rehti ho," he said angrily.

"C'mon sir! Traditions aur superstitions mein farak hota hai......I am not superstitious, but I have no problems with tradition and religion," Samaira smiled instead.

A faint smile came on his face, as Dev remembered the incident in the temple that morning.

"Why are you smiling? You don't believe me sir?" Samaira was a little incensed.

"Oh! I just remembered what you just said in the car......kai baar jo jaisa dikhta hai hota nahin hai! Why don't we order fast as I need to get back to work," he looked at his watch.

Dev ordered a salad and a soup; Samaira on the other hand, ordered a spicy Szechuan chicken dish.

"Aap sirf itna hi khaayenge?" Samaira was shocked to see Dev's order.

"Mom kehti....uh....*cough*...*cough*.....mera matlab hai Sunday ko main light hi khaata hoon......at least one day in a week one should give a break to one's system," he defended himself.

"Warna indigestion ho jaayega.....right?" they both laughed as she said that. Samaira was pleased to see that Dev was actually developing a sense of humor after all.

As they ate in silence, Samaira got a little impatient; it was hard for her to remain quiet for more than a few seconds, "aapki hobbies kya hain sir?"

"You can call me Dev," he said casually without looking up.

Samaira almost fell off her chair, "really?"

"I mean when we are not at work," he looked up and made sure she would not extend the privilege in the office environment.

"So, does that mean we will be meeting each other outside work?" she asked mischievously.

"I...I...didn't mean it that way," he fumbled

"So how did you mean it then Dev?" she questioned innocently.

"Tumhein durson ko pareshaan karne nein aur dimaag nikalne mein bohot maza aata hai....haina?" Dev was annoyed and wished he had never asked her to address him by his first name.

She glanced at his shirt seductively, "bahut kuch nikaalne mein mazaa aata hai.....aap chaahe toh main aapko dikha sakti hoon."

"Nahin aur kuch utaarne ki zaroorat nahin hai......that's enough for today Miss Sonakshi.....we need to get back to work," he was still kicking himself; one thing he had learnt about this girl was that she was fearless and would never give up in an argument.....he would have to be more careful what he said to her from now on.

"toh aapki hobbies Dev?" Samaira asked again.

Dev looked up irritably, "hobbies? What do you mean?"
