Nearly six months had passed and finally, it was time. Parker was eagerly awaiting walking out of the hospital. He was bored and tired at the same time. He was sick of the hospital room that was as cold as a meat freezer, but today was the day that his doctor would come in and tell him he's eligible for release. Gio had gotten out a few weeks earlier. Parker's lung had collapsed once again and he was rushed into surgery, but weeks had passed since that episode and he had recovered rather well.
Aiden spent his time looking for a new house in Venice Beach, while putting their old house up for sale. He had some of their belongings moved to one of Parker's rental properties, where he stayed due to their primary home being renovated for the sale. Aiden advocated for Parker and Gio to help him choose the new house, however they both gave up, due to Aiden's picky taste. Parker's only requirement was a custom home studio, and Gio wanted a gym, but didn't put up too much fuss as he didn't have much to contribute financially.
Since Parker's recovery, Aiden was hopeful that they would all be able to put everything behind them. Parker's spirts had been up, and he was more affectionate to Aiden. He was even starting to look at him the way that he'd used to before he started making money and was busy all the time. Even with the addition of Gio in their relationship, things were actually going back to normal. Maybe they could contribute it to the fact that all of them almost died. It brought them closer and suddenly there was a new appreciation for one another.
Gio on the other hand had never experienced anything like this in his life. Even growing up in Mexico, he'd heard about all of the violence with the cartels, but his parents kept their family very sheltered from all of it. They wanted the traditional catholic life for him. Since that time in the hospital, his parents had not been around. They hadn't even called the hospital to check on his condition. He felt a bit down about it, but he didn't say anything.
When he was discharged from the hospital, he stayed with Parker in his room, while Aiden prepared the new house. None of them wanted to go back to the place where they'd almost died. Gio didn't want to see his bedroom or that closet where Jace shot and drug him out. He was quite thankful of Aiden's timing. If Aiden hadn't gotten there when he did, he and Parker would be dead and there was no telling what would have happened to Aiden.
When Aiden arrived at the hospital he walked in the room to see Gio helping Parker get dressed. It was the first time in months since they'd seen him in regular clothes. The smile on his face could light up a football field at night. He was so excited to finally be leaving. Still healing from his wounds, he refused to be led out in a wheelchair. Parker was determined to walk out on his own will, and he did just that.
Reporters had disappeared several months ago, as the Parker's story had gone cold. However, today a few reappeared. They were from various entertainment tabloids looking to get a hot story. When the trio walked out of the hospital they were surprised at the cameras snapping pictures and taking video. Questions were being shouted at them as they entered the awaiting luxury vehicle. They ignored the questions and continued what seemed like a life long trek to the vehicle. Hired security kept the media back as they snapped their photos and shouted questions.
"Parker! Parker!" Shouted one obtrusive reporter. "Are you done with your lying cheating boyfriend?" He asked.
Parker's smile turned to a scrunched angry face as he stopped at the door of the vehicle. He removed his arms from the door of the vehicle and to the best of his ability, stood straight up on his own. He turned around and walked, slowly, over to the reporter.
"What did you say?" Parker asked in an aggressive tone.
"Now that you're out of the hospital, are you and Aiden calling it quits?" Asked the reporter.
