Taemin tried his best to fight the urge of kissing her senseless right then and there. It wasn’t an easy feat given the look on her face, eyes wide with surprise and cheeks blushing from the peck he just gave her. She looked so adorable that he suddenly wanted to do more than just a peck on the lips. He wanted to explore that sweet mouth of hers and he wanted to see more of that adorable blushing face.  But he decided not to push it. For one, they were standing at their doorstep, his hyungs are just a few feet away from them and could probably see them from the car. Besides he knew she was still mad at him and she had good reasons to be.

Nonetheless, it didn’t stop him from stealing a short kiss from her. And he didn’t regret it a bit. The look on her face was priceless.

He decided to keep it short but sweet nonetheless. She means so much to him more than anyone could ever imagine. If there is someone in your life that you haven’t seen for a very long time and then suddenly you met her again you’ll probably understand. Most especially when that someone is the reason why you’ve been overwhelmed with regrets all this time.

With one last smile at the still shocked Eunjin, Taemin left.

On the way back to the dorm, his hyungs were annoyingly desperate to learn the truth. They kept asking how the two of them met but he can’t really tell them just yet. Talking about something painful is not easy even for him

When they arrived home Key started making dishes out of the groceries they bought. Of course, there has to be a chicken dish otherwise Onew would start complaining. The only chicken free day they had was when the leader left to visit his family in the province. The rest of the days are filled with fried chicken, chicken curry, spicy chicken and all the chicken dishes you can probably think of. Based from the smell of Key’s cooking it’s probably going to be a fried chicken day today.

After dinner, everyone wanted to rest. They spent most of the day practicing their dance choreography for their new album which will be released soon and it was more tiring than they expected. Minho couldn’t even keep his eyes open for a minute and decided to lock himself up in his room. Unlike the others, Taemin didn’t think he will be able to sleep that night though. He was feeling too great to sleep.

“Taemin” Jonghyun said. It’s just the two of them in the room. The rest went to bed early due to exhaustion.

“Neh?” Taemin asked.

“If you tell me about Eunjin I’ll tell you about my girlfriend.”

“No deal.” He’s not gonna fall for that trick. Whoever Jonghyun’s girlfriend now will no longer be his girlfriend a week later so you could say he’s not really interested.

Jonghyun left afterwards. He probably got tired of pestering the maknae after he realized the younger will probably not gonna say anything no matter how hard he tries to annoy him.

Taemin lay down on the couch, stared at the ceiling and let the thoughts of Eunjin fill his head. He suddenly had the urge to call her just to realize he didn’t have her number. He let out a sigh of disappointment. He didn’t ask for her number because he didn’t want to rush things. But now he was having second thoughts about it. As much as he wanted to take it slowly with Eunjin, his patience has its limits too.

-----------

Weeks passed but Taemin never had the chance to see Eunjin. He wanted to see her so bad but his work just wouldn’t allow him to do so. He didn’t even get enough sleep last night. He looked at the others and noticed that everyone seems to be having a hard time too. They really never had it easy. If they will be told they will be having a vacation none of them will most likely believe it. Having a day off is almost impossible.
